Bought a hot port here during lockdown. Friendly staff and good to have the pub open for takeaway at this time.
A very cozy friendly place. Down an alley stairs and off the Royal Mile, then down a set of stairs. This cellar dweller was our Lucky find of our recent trip. They have a great assortment of beers and 3 hand drawn ales. Also quite impressive selection of whiskies that I saw were able to be poured by the dram for tastings.
Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, you cannot enter the pub, but the takeaway selection is fantastic. The staff are wonderful as always. Highly recommended.
Jolly Judge stands out as one of our favorite pubs on all of our travels throughout the world! Great selections of ciders, drafts, and whiskey! Highly recommend!
Drinks outside! But it was cosy and cute. Good selection. Helpful staff.
Perfect cellar pub out of the way but still close to High Street. Came here frequently for pints and half-pints of cask ales and standard pours with both small 2-3 and medium sized 4-5 groups.
Been here many times over the years, and it’s a great pub. Just off the Royal Mile in James Court, not far from the castle, it’s a little gem of a refuge from the hustle and bustle. Recommended.
