I absolutely loved loved loved this bar. We went in by chance, just because we were hungry and it looked good. But never did we imagine we would love it so much. We had a Gin and tonic Scottish Gin a beer, but the food, now that is the most important thing. Bangers with mashed potatoes and Yorkshire pudding and fried Haggis. We highly recommend it and will come back for sure. Do not miss it! It's absolutely brilliant
Popped into George IV bar as part of a walking food tour. We tried their Cullen skunk creamy smoked fish soup with leeks and potato it was full of flavour and a good introduction to traditional Scottish cuisine. Keen to visit again for a few beers
Tried both kinds of fried haggis there, the original and the veggie one. They were both delicious. The service was excellent and the ambiance is cozy. The fish and chips had generous amount of fish, which I enjoyed.
Went there on a food tour and had the skink. Very delicious. Went back the next day for some more plus some other starters like the haggis. I went with a burger. Was huge and very tasty. Will go back when we come back. Service is excellent as well.
Really nice bar to vist with great staff and equally good food. Service is spot on with great attitudes towards the customer. In these pics is Chicken stuffed with Haggis and whiskey sauce and the Mexican burger with spicy cheese and fries. Huge well done top spot to eat and enjoy a drink.
Great ambience, not too crowded .It's a dog friendly bar as well. The beers were fresh and good.Highly recommended place
The beer selections was great, they allow children until 1930, which was great for us, and the service was outstanding. The caramel white Russian sealed the deal for my wife.
A decent place, we had a window seat which had a lot of cold/wind from outside. The food was ok but not special, I did expect more for the price. Location is great, staff was very helpfull and polite. And beers were good. We missed the live music as they were late. Overall a good place to grab one.
Great food! Lots of Veggie options like Veggie haggis made out of kidney beans, mushrooms and oats. Delicious! Couldn't stop haha. Also very delicious Magners apple cider.
really good and very lively!! staff was so kind and helpful, food was very good as well. The mac and cheese was quite good, same with the salmon. They are very good at finding seating for everyone and getting food out in a timely manner. A little bit loud at night but quite a good atmosphere overall
