I wanted to get a camera and lens setup as a beginner to bird photography. I had 3 options in mind. The first worker had no idea what to recommend, and the second worker convinced us not to get any of the 3 options I was thinking of, saying that an APS-C camera in UK lighting conditions is hopeless and that full frame Sony cameras are the only way to go. He ignored my requests and slowly played us into buying one of the most expensive cameras out there, paired with the most expensive and heavy lens which is completely overkill for my task and had to be paid in instalments. When we wanted further advice a few days later he was gone. I know it's the job of the salesperson to recommend the most expensive products, but a bit of decency and listening to the customer's needs would be helpful. This is completely unacceptable extortion.
Jessops Oxford Street was conveniently located, easy to find, and was displaying the latest in a wide range of equipment. The staff had sound knowledge of monochrome, silver-gelatine, film photography; so that I had confidence in their advice regarding other aspects of photography of which I know nothing.
Just the best service hands down! This was the third camera shop I went into looking for a camera. I'll be reviewing Curry's and Fujifilm 1 star We were helped by Rana, who was exceptionally knowledgeable, patient and enthusiastic. Thank you so much for youR perfect service.
I experienced excellent customer service from Alex at Jessops on Oxford Street. He listened carefully to what I needed from a camera, and found the perfect solution. It wasn't in stock, so he rang a different store and got it sent for me the next day. He was very knowledgabe and able to answer all my questions. I was very impressed.
I ordered a teleconverter from them. I realised it didn’t fit my lens. And they wouldn’t let me return it even though I was only one day late of the return policy. Didn’t offer any assistance with store credit or anything like that at all. Very disappointing..
Amazing customer service. Helps you understand what lens you need for your camera. And has good knowledge about photography. They come across friendly and want to help customers. I recommend Jessops. They have everything here.
I recently visited this store to purchase a camera and, as someone who isn’t very knowledgeable about cameras, I found the assistance provided by the staff to be exceptionally helpful. Sophia helped me; she not only recommended several cameras that fit both my budget and expectations but also allowed me to try them out. Together, we selected the camera that best suited my needs. The opportunity to experience the cameras firsthand was truly fantastic and gave me a clear idea of what to expect. I had many questions throughout, and she was incredibly patient with me. #jessops Always go with your gut…. I sold 18,000 pounds of retail goods at this store on Sunday the 19th with a promise of funds in my account by Friday the 24th. It’s now the 30th with no clear answer on where the funds are. No one can help on the phone or via email. My assistant has been hung up on 4 times in the last hour, who is extremely polite and well spoken. No one has owned up to making a mistake. No one has reached out to me whatsoever. I should have gone to park cameras where things are done professionally, and with passion. Apparently, all staff at Jessops don’t use mobile phones or unable to contact each other unless it’s via email. The best thing is, I gave them a flash and Gizmodo TRIPOD £800 for a GFX100ll as a thank you. It seems you are really throwing the dice with these guys. Someone higher up contact me today, please. Been 2 months since I sent in a roll of black and white film and still haven’t received anything. Visited them again twice to ask when I would receive my scans and both times I was told everything would be sorted in the next few days. It’s been two weeks since that and still nothing. Not even cheap developing compared to other film labs.
