AMAZING !!! The seller was amazing, incredibly nice and helpful. We were one vacation with my boyfriend and I wanted to buy a camera he help me till the very end. Unfortunately not his fault but there were some damages on the camera, the seller take his time and change the broken parts. He explain me how to take good pictures with the camera, help me for the pellicule, help me with the battery and finally help me with my old camera. I took an Olympus OM10. GO GO GO, there is a large choice of camera.
Best camera shop in London. Really helpful/knowledgeable shop assistants and great camera equipment for sale at competitive prices. I will never go anywhere else! Thank you
Untrustworthy service, they kept my camera. Never received an update, terrible communication. I dropped my Sony Cyberhshot off for repair at this shop on the 22nd of March, paying a £10 for a examination of the damage, I received no further communication from the shop as to what was wrong with my camera, I had to call to chase in April and they said they were still sourcing parts. It is now the 14th of Oct and I have received no further communication months later, they still have my camera and battery and I am very disappointed with the service. I didn’t end up visiting the camera shop again because of the hassle that would take as I am not local to the shop. I was called by the owner after leaving this review, complaining that the review is negative for their small business. I explained it’s ridiculous to not be contacted for 7 months after leaving my camera in your care for a repair and they explained they are a small business and don’t always contact customers whilst they’re waiting for parts for a repair, to which I replied it is simply unacceptable and unprofessional to be left in the dark for that long and had I not left a negative review, I would not have been contacted anyway. Whilst I understand it’s a small business, commutation between a business and client is paramount and to say I could I have called again is simply not good enough and putting far too much responsibility in the hand of the customer to ensure consistent communication throughout the process of the service. I was only asked what I wanted to do with this camera after leaving my review, to which I replied for them to keep it as it has been far too long since I’ve dropped it off.
This is by far the best camera shop in London. You receive top quality friendly advice and guidance from very helpful/knowledgeable shop staff and there's a large selection of great camera equipment for sale at competitive prices. I very highly recommend you buy all your camera needs here! Thank you
5/5 - Lovely owner : Pany who has extensive knowledge of cameras and has the best warm energy and smile. He’s the top man, would recommend to friends and all. Trung
Was in town for a few hours at the Museum and decided to stop by Camera City. I wanted to see if they had any hand straps for my Canon, similar to the Peak Design offering. They did not but I worked with Sam and found a Canon neck strap that we modified in the store to work even better than the Peak Design no issues with battery access. Also found a Canon cover and nice UV filter. The three parts were well below market prices in London and were more competitive than what I would pay via Amazon Prime in the U.S. Then I noticed a carbon fiber Manfrotto 055 tripod that appeared to already have an Arca Swiss XPRO ball head, which fits perfectly with my Peak Design Capture V3 mounting plate. Although the item was slightly used, it was nearly mint. Sam and Gio even went digging to find the base plate. We stayed past closing time and finished the deal. I won’t share the exact price but it was only slightly more than what the XPRO ball head costs new. Never thought I’d own a carbon Manfrotto but here we are. Will definitely return.
They are rude, dishonest and thiefs… charged me £25 to look at my loose trigger, broke wires doing so, told me they can‘t repair now that it is broken as they don’t have the piece. I went to find and buy the missing piece and came back asking if it was possible to change it now? They said it would take 3-4 weeks and £200… I couldn’t believe it so opened the camera myself with one screw driver and swop the pieces in less than a minute… the men did open my camera, looked at it, and KNEW how easy it was to do. Still they lied, said it was a complicated job, happy with charging me £200 for it… my camera is now 100% repaired just with a 1minute screwdriver job I could do alone… I called them to tell them. For an answer I had a « you’re a liar ».
Always very helpful to me and knowledgeable. Sent my camera to get repaired and it wasn’t going to get repaired in time for my trip to Naples and there owner offered to lend me one free of charge he felt so bad. I had another camera but a lovely gesture and he didn’t know that!
First off, the staff is super friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. They guided me through my options and patiently answered all my questions without any sales pressure. It's clear they're passionate about photography. The selection here is impressive - from entry-level cameras to top-of-the-line models, they've got it all. Plus, their range of lenses and accessories is extensive, so you'll find everything you need to up your photography game. Camera City's prices are competitive, and they even price-matched a lens I found online. Great service! The store layout is user-friendly, making it easy to browse and compare products. Everything's neatly organized, making for a hassle-free shopping experience. If you're a bit of a tech novice like me, no worries - the staff here explains everything in simple terms, so you won't feel overwhelmed. Overall, Camera City is a gem. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a newbie, you'll leave this store with a smile on your face and a camera you love. Highly recommended!
Great camera store with a big range of film and cameras and lovely staff
