Superb dining experience from start to finish. The restaurant itself is quite understated, but very elegant. Staff were all welcoming, friendly and attentive - without being overbearing. But the food was the real star of the show; I had the Vegetable Curry - which was excellent. My son and daughter-in-law thoroughly enjoyed their choices too. The soda bread which I believe they make themselves was by far the best we’ve had during our entire trip to Ireland. And trust me when I say that we ate a lot of soda bread! Highly recommended, and I’d advise you book in advance, as this place is always busy!
Celebrated birthday lunch with my sister's here & it couldn't have been better. Beautiful place. Food was INCREDIBLE. And the service was absolutely impeccable. I cannot rate or recommend this place any higher. Thank you so much for a wonderful afternoon
A flawless experience! The ambience and the waiter was amazing. I ordered the Lamb Madras Curry - a must try if I’m completely honest. Also, ended it with a tiramisu as dessert. Overall, the value for the experience we had was great.
Isaacs has never rested on its laurels. I was as pleased with my meal there yesterday as i was 20 years ago. Food was delicious, deep fried brie and roast duck, staff professional and very attentive. Lovely airy room in the hot weather, and a great vibe. Don't pass it by Parking: You will need to park in one of the nearby multi storey car parks. After ongoing renovations of the street, on street parking is no longer available. I am lucky enough to be able to use public transport to get there Wheelchair accessibility: Fully WC accesible
Absolutely delicious! Very friendly & accommodating staff for our table of 8. Ordered the fish & potato cakes, and my husband ordered the duck confit. 2 of the best meals we have ever eaten! Our group was all very impressed with the food and atmosphere. Made our stop in Cork worth it.
Beautiful work lunch had last week for a group of approx 14. Service was efficient without being at all rushed or hasty. All food was brought out hot and within the same time frame for the group to enjoy. First time visiting here for a lunch and so pleasantly surprised I look forward to a return visit.
We'd only just arrived in Cork when we decided to have dinner here; however we hand't made a reservation so we were prepared to go elsewhere if necessary. The woman who greeted us said she'd check if we could have a table, as they had several reservations and they were preparing for a massive group of teachers to arrive celebrating the end of the school year. She walked around the entire restaurant with her seating chart, counting and calculating. We were thrilled she was able to seat us, and even with such a huge group coming, our service wasn't affected in the least. We felt very taken care of and our meal was delicious. Once those teachers did arrive, though, the decibel level rose incredibly. With brick walls, high ceilings and open areas, there's nothing to really absorb the sound. So when it's packed with an enthusiastic very large group, it can get loud. But overall I'd say it was a very pleasant dining experience, we truly appreciated getting seated without a reservation, and our meal was great. I'd go again in a heartbeat.
Fantastic steak. The meat was cooked to perfection, one of the best I ever had. Just a bit bland without any herbs or spice. Great wine available. This is one of the better restaurants in Cork, definitely. If only parking would be possible!
Stayed for 1 night in budget single room with bathroom, €75 excluding breakfast. Everything, including common areas, was spotless and comfortable. Kettle, iron, ironing board, spare towels, tv, available in room. Staff efficient and friendly. Breakfast in my case a generous “small Irish” for €15 was available in dining room downstairs, and was good. Great central location. Thanks to everyone.
Lovely quality food, superb attentive staff. A tad noisy - hard to hear friends speaking to you. Suggest some soft furnishings to absorb sound.Food: 5/5
