Dinner with a view. Impeccable service, fantastic food, very enjoyable experience. We had the mushroom risotto and one of the fish dishes and they were fabulous. Highly recommend and can’t miss experience in CorkFood: 5/5
Superbly presented dishes! The pictures don't do the meals justice. In terms of taste & portion size - they surpassed high expectations. Excellent staff who have obviously been trained professionally. Serving staff were great to offer suggestions & the chef was very accommodating to allergies. We will definitely be coming again. Dietary restrictions: Allergies & intolerances can be laid out when booking online & gives the chef advanced notice to allow them to prepare for alternatives. Very reasonable efficient.
Starters were great, mains too. The apple tart was a No No, but the caramelised figs were delicious. Service was impeccable and I can’t believe there’s no service charge! Some things that I found disappointing and should be improved/fixed: tablecloths should be ironed properly; water glasses should be appropriate; Plates should be washed also on the outside and not just the inside. Overall a great experience cause the chef knows what he’s doing. Thank you!
A bit underwhelming, as the place has a number of awards and a Michelin mention. Food: The food is alright, however, not that interesting or memorable. We ordered starters, mains, and desserts and found them all to be not very innovative or flavor forward. Atmosphere: The interior is a bit basic and could use a design overhaul. The fountain wall outside is truly lovely, which the adjacent outside restaurant seems to get more of. Service: Not great. The staff were very scripted and not very warm. Vegetarian options: Limited vegetarian options.
Tucked at the back of a trendy courtyard, the restaurant is quite traditional in decor but the view from the window is anything but. Opted for the tasting menu and wine flight and had a very pleasant experience. Great food, attentive and helpful staff and some delightful wine. Left feeling very full and at peace with the world. Thoroughly recommended, and not so expensive. Loved it,
We sat by the waterfall and the view was amazing. The service was fantastic with very friendly staff. I ordered pork belly as a starter, braised featherblade beef as main dish and the jaffa cake as a dessert. The appetisers were amazing, starting with homemade bread and absolutely delicious butter. Following were shrimp, gazpacho and chicken pate. They were all absolutely delicious. The starter was really nice. The beef was alright. The dessert was very lovely with a play on the classic Jaffa cake. Overall, it was a very nice experience. Definitely recommend it for a nice fancy dinner.
Super! Highly recomendable! We had the 35 euro lunch menu and the value for money was great. Nice elaboration, awesome flavors and creativity. Specially good considering that this is Ireland the risotto and the beef meat was delicious. Matcha dessert really great. The staff was friendly and kind. I would definitely repeat
The food was fairly nice, but I think a bit overpriced for what you get. This place has lots of very good reviews so we decided to try it out for my partners birthday. As we have booked the table quite early 5:30 we were like to get the table with the view of the waterfall. We both ordered from pre-set 3 course menu, which is €55. Portions were decent size at least the main and we were also given the bread and some small appetizer. The drinks were quite expensive, €13 for aperol spritz. We got the wrong bill in the end and were asked if we were sure we didn’t order those things instead of apologizing. Overall it was ok, but not impressed.
Food was excellent and scenery was beautiful. We went for the very reasonably priced early bird menu: the pork belly and risotto to start, hake and chicken for mains, and the posset and torte for dessert. Everything was tasty - but the fish was the star!
My hotel recommended this restaurant and it was a pleasant surprise. They offer a tasting menu or a la Carte and we chose a la carte. There’s not many options to choose from but the mushroom risotto caught my attention and my husband decided on the lamb. The complementary bread and butter was delicious, we finished it all! My husband said the lamb chops were probably the best he ever had and my risotto was also very good. The best meal we had in Ireland so far, highly recommend.
