We ended up at Market Lane purely by accident. We were looking for a sticky toffee pudding and after checking many places nearby saw that Market Lane had a bread and butter pudding so we thought we would try that. We were so glad we did! Market Lane was a true delight. We sat at the bar and the I think head bartender was super friendly and willing to entertain all of our questions. He suggested we pair our dessert with whiskey drinks. I got an old fashioned maybe the best one I've ever had and he made a special one of a kind whiskey drink on the spot for my friend who is a little hesitant about whiskey... and she loved it! The service was simply impeccable and we had such an unexpectedly lovely evening. I would recommend Market Lane to anyone visiting Cork! P.s. They also have beer next door from the smallest microbrewery in Ireland. Super cool!
One of the best spots in Cork, always had a great experience anytime I’ve been here. Staff are welcoming and there is plenty of seating upstairs and downstairs, and if you’re looking for a more quiet experience would recommend booking a table upstairs as there is a little less seating. Food is delicious and the menu is quiet varied with plenty of options.
Review is for lunch. Overall recommend. Friendly service and nice ambiance, restaurant was busy for a Monday so recommend reservations. Nice selection of their own beers on tap. Bacon collar was superb. Fish curry was the only disappointment, lacked any real punch or flavor profileFood: 4/5
Great spot. Come here often. We had late lunch and it did not disappoint. I had the steak sandwich and it was delicious. Others in the group had fish and chips, meatballs and burger. All wonderful dishes elevated with sophisticated twists. Desserts were divine, but very big, we should have shared! Still ate it though I had the special Beara cocktail, very nice as well.
My wife and I enjoyed a fabulous dinner here. Although it was extremely busy, the hostess seated us at a nice table. I had hake fish with potatoes and spinach. It was incredibly fresh and tasty. Our server was super nice and helped us pick some really good entrees.Food: 5/5
This was one of the best meals I've ever had the service was amazing. My family and I shared multiple dishes including the sirloin the filet the monkfish the lamb and bacon collar......all were delicious. We had cocktails as well which awesome. Highly recommend.Food: 5/5
The quality of food was fine/above average but nothing very notable or special. Service was good, though there was a slight gap between serving the starter and the main dish. Not very impressed by their food presentation. I wanted to try the lamb dish with Persian rice but it was soldout. Instead I tried the dish with Monkfish which was a bit overcooked, and the texture was slightly chewy. Inside could be pretty crowded and loud, though this is not a negative point. Overall, it was worth to be checked out once.
Excellent service! Staff were fantastic, welcoming and helpful ! The food was delicious! Nice combination, perfectly cooked and very tasty! We will be back !
Great atmosphere and staff. I ordered the lamb with potatoes and asparagus and got lamb with rice and green beans. Would have been nice if someone would have at least commented on this. The rice was very over cooked, dry and crunchy. The lamb had a nice flavor, but over cooked as well and a bit dry. The green beans had a nice crunch to them and made quite nicely
Amazing place to eat, my goodness! The local beers on tap and food is amazing. But the folks that work here are amazing as well. They make beautiful craft cocktails and can also spin a request! Definitely stop here. Marrik is an exciting bartender and host !Food: 5/5
