I love the mushroom soup, so fresh and tasty! However the Risotto needs some improvement. It's overcooked and kinda sour. The staffs are so friendly and welcoming. I would definitely be back and try other food in their menu.
Absolutely divine place to enjoy lunch when you're exploring the city and enjoying the market. Tucked above the market you get the nice open-ness of the skylights but still can hear the hustle and bustle of the market below. The food was wonderful - the lamb stew was cooked long and slow, you can just tell with the way the flavors come together and the tenderness of the lamb. The daily special was a chicken and mushroom pie which was creamy and tender with wonderful flavors. The keeved cider was also lovely! Highly recommend a visit here!
I had the full breakfast and it was delicious. Much better than your average full breakfast. I also had a mimosa and it was top notch. Highly recommend. Staff were lovely but the space was a bit tight.Food: 5/5

Arrived on a Friday for brunch. Very clean, staff attentive and the setting is just wonderful. We had both ordered the smoked eggs on sourdough with pepperonata and it was delicious. Would have again. Didn't really get any smokiness from the eggs but maybe I was eating too fast. The place was busy so worth going early.Food: 4/5
I loved this dining experience. The Farmgate Cafe overlooks the Prince’s Street entrance to the English Market and if you grab a balcony seat it’s a great way to watch the world go by. Service is quick and friendly, and the breakfast menu is simple but delicious. I got the fried mushrooms and tomatoes with a side of scrambled eggs and an americano with an extra shot. The eggs and the coffee in particular were very good. I also really enjoyed watching people working and shopping on the ground floor whole I ate.
I would not go here again. I had the Irish stew. It was boiled meat. No flavour. My order of beer was wrong. Staff tried to get you in and out as quickly as possible. Not friendly at all. There is zero attraction here, Cork must have multiple places was better than this.
