Ingram wind we were here as a big group for a Christmas party. We had problems right from the beginning we told to arrive at a time for the tables then we were told we had to wait. The place was so small and so packed that we were basically sitting on top of each other, and the two wheelchairs in the group ended up outside because people kept falling over us. Even though the group leader had informed them that they would be two wheelchairs coming when it came time to sit at the table the staff had to rearrange furniture which caused a bit of a problem in such a packed restaurant. The staff. The staff were friendly and accommodating, but they were very disorganised and poorly managed, in my opinion. The team were bringing wrong orders and seemed to be running around Madly and were struggling The food. The food was alright enjoyable, nicely presented and perfect portions sizes. But the turkey Christmas dinner did not it excites my taste buds that much. I did enjoy the cheesecake raspberry dessert. Accessibility It was quite tricky getting into the building and around in a wheelchair because the building is quite small. They were using the disabled bathroom as a storage room, and a coat room we had to be careful not to run over people's coats and other stuff was getting in the way of using the bathroom. I doubt I will be back here in the future as there are a lot better places in Glasgow get food for the same price that we paid.
Has potential but missed the mark. Decor was old school chic. Waiter asked what we wanted to drink as soon as we sat down which was too soon. The food was a dissapointment, bland and dry. The starter looked ok, hence a photo but no other meals photo worthy. Said risotto was dry and no response or interest shown.
Minimal drinks selection, th pork belly was burnt and taste of charcoal, the chicken was totally tasteless and covered in what seemed to be campbells soup, and the desert taste like something you would buy in Tesco. Nice place inside but it's trying to be something it's not.
If I could give this a 3.5 out of 5 I would. Reasonable priced for lunch 2 courses 12.95 or 15.95 for 3 courses. Food was OK. Starters were soup of the day No bread/roll served with soup. Pate, toasted bread didn't come with butter it needed it as the bread had obviously been made earlier in the day had went a little stale. Leek and mushroom rarebit was tasty enough but end of the day it is just mushroom cheese on toast. The haggis and potato fritter looked and tasted the best lovely. Mains Chicken and peppercorn sauce on mash . Good flavors not that hot like my food piping personally felt the dish needed more sauce/gravy in a little jug as the chicken was slightly dry. Mac and cheese was good The famous stovies was a bit of a disappointment auld Annie could teach them a thing or two. Weren't asked if we wanted any sauces or vinegar. But were swiftly brought some once we asked for some. Apple crumble and ice cream desserts had by all happy faces. Nice and friendly staff Toilets were a bit of a mess floors soaked hand towels over floors. But it was really busy with festival goers in town so obviously used a bit more then usual. A little slow on service we were 2 hrs and parked across the road. @ £1 for 15 mins so £8 on top of our £83 bill
Poor experience I’m not sure they knew what they had on the menu ! We had to wait for a long period for drinks order half arrived and the other half some time later after prompting! Our starter arrived with missing sauce and it took 3 members of staff to workout what to do ! The mains the pork was small the 2 stakes we ordered were cold and the macaroni cheese with haggis had no haggis !? After all that the 25% discount via 5pm was not applied this was applied once prompted we were told to watch for this as one of our guests had been before and the discount was not applied which could be missed after a few beverages A rather disappointing experience
I had have expectations of my visit here, friends had been and I wrongly didn’t check reviews so only myself to blame.Firstly don’t ever eat here if not on either the set menu or the 40% off 5 pm deal.if you come on a deal then be prepared for slow service, was 45 minutes between starter and main, average food and musicwe had 80s soft rock hits that doesn’t fit with the venue. Its a pub that’s sort of a restaurant now,but somehow not quite. At all, avoid the two tables nearest the kitchen serving area,it’s noisy and when the chef turns of the heated food lamps it’s like floodlights over your table.I didn’t totally hate it,but I won’t be back.
Arrived for a 19:30 reservation on Saturday evening for five people. Descended the stairs to the basement level to our table. It was significantly colder downstairs than it was upstairs. The waitresses seemed stressed and the service was pleasant but glacial. There are two beers on tap and limited bottled beers, I did not see the wine list. The gin was served inconsistently with a pot luck garnish. We received food menus at 20:15, as before this time there our waitress could not find any menus. Food was served at 21:25. It was not worth the wait. Pictured is the macaroni cheese with haggis, it was edible but unremarkable and wildly overpriced at £14.50. We received a 40% discount on the food alone, which I now see is the same as the groupon deal. I will not be returning.
Food was 5/5 excellent but service was 2/5 was greeted at the front in not the most welcoming of ways. Waitress served the wrong steak to each of us and waited over 15 minutes for the dessert menu and eventually had to just ask for the bill it took so long
What a lovely place, we had high Tea and it was lovely, staff were great, our server Kyle was brilliant, very friendly and a lot of fun which made us feel really welcome
Atmosphere is good, while food quality is just ok; the appetiser Hagis bon bon is a good start while main course Venison is just fine and finished with rice putting, its a wrong choice
