Went there for a drink in the cafe. I asked for a hot chocolate. I didn't know what size the cups are. The server says "small"? When I asked for a hot chocolate. Didn't offer to explain what sizes they come in? Just assumed that I wanted the small one??? It sells nice things around the store though.
This is a relatively small IKEA. You can do it in twenty minutes. But most things can be ordered. The service staff is very good, we are very lucky to get the qualification of free shipping. The cafe is open and the peach pie is delicious. Again, the service is really good.
Visited IKEA Edinburgh yesterday. Bought a few items, and also ate in the restaurant - super breakfast for £3.50 along with good service, great value for money and tasty too. Back to the furniture though, what you get for the price is amazing, alas it seems some people are hard to please!
We have come to visit this IKEA Aberdeen to buy a floor lamp online. The problem is that they didn’t have it in stock. Still we have been able to sit down and relax at the café and chilling there. Taking advantage of our IKEA Family Card you can have a croissant and any hot drink for 95p
Very limited store with disingenuous staff and policies. Tried to use a Christmas tree voucher on a desk purchase but as they hardly stock anything it had to be ordered, and the voucher is only valid on in store items. Was told that’s their policy. Computer says no!
Yesterday i had delivery my order. In the morning i got a chair without arms. In the evening i got the arms and a table top. But no legs for table. Instead of legs i got a lamp that I did not order. I tried to claim on the site. But claim form redirected me to chat bot or hotline. I have been waiting for 40 minutes. ABBA was not my favorite music, but now i hated It. Poor customers. I have a table without legs, someone is looking for missing lamp.
Possibly the most braindead system for ordering that I have ever come across .. their stock availability isn’t on their website for click and collect to Aberdeen so it is a guessing game whether your item is available , then there are many products which can only be purchased in store and you have to physically go into the Aberdeen branch to then have them request it is sent there from Edinburgh! Did any of the brains behind IKEA wonder what the bloody difference between requesting stock and click and collect is? There isn’t any difference and there shouldn’t be! I don’t live in Aberdeen I live in Moray and visit Aberdeen now and again, does IKEA expect me to travel all the way there to go to the store in person and request they order products from Edinburgh then drive back two days later?? Completely nonsensical! Everything should be under the banner of click and collect! If I can go into store and request the Aberdeen store orders items from Edinburgh, why can’t I simply do that process online? Living in the dark ages and you’ve just lost a customer due to this absurd system.
If I could provide zero stars I would. Nothing wrong with the product we purchased but IKEA have completely failed to respond to complaint about our property being damaged by the company delivering furniture.
I really don't get the point of this store. A complete waste of time. You may as well just drive down to Edinburgh at least you'll get what you want. Ordering on line to be told can't deliver and not available for click and collect....might as well close this store and use the building for something useful
Actually smaller than bigger had expected but still. Very nice place.
