Excellent old fashioned pub with very good beer, a sociable atmosphere and no loud music. Spick and span and very welcoming. Get someone to pick you up if you've got far to go as there a lot of different very good ales to sample and the temptation might prove too much.

Great atmosphere, dog friendly, Sun trap beer garden in summer during the day, However in a evening it has gone very down hill since it's first opening "children" serving behind the bar unscrupulous types and barely legal types drinking there selfs into oblivion, pumping house music not the low key good music that was played in the beginning, as of tonight i will most certainly NOT be returning when the sun is not up.

An improvement on it's pervious incarnation as 'The Anchor', good beers, friendly atmosphere and some pub games, what's not to like!
