Food and service was excellent but the portion size wasn't enough to fill a ant and had to go to Greggs straight after to fill up, £10.70 for a goat cheese salad I expect to leave full. So it's a thumbs down from me I'm afraid.

A lovely setting next to the canal. Just right for a refreshing break aftet shopping in Retford. Friendly staff too. Must try it in the evening too

Excellent cafe. A group of wet cyclists could not have felt more welcomed. Good prices lovely staff and very nice food and drink. We will definitely return to the bay tree.

minutes for food to turn up cold!! missed off the veg from the main, another 10 minute wait, and had to chase them!. Awafull service. We eat out lots and this place dissapoints, will not be going back
