The food here is excellent, very well cooked, good presentation and not skimping on portion size. Some may say the prices are to high but compared to a 'pub meal' the food here is by far more superior and the portions are more than fair. This making the price more than acceptable for the quality and portion of the food. This is a great place for a nice meal out as a family or book as a group. Also having a hotel out of the back makes it a great venue for an overnight stop off and a great place for weddings with 2 rooms available.

Attended an evening conference. Venue conveniently located with easy access to the M6. Roads around get very snarled up around rush hour though. Function room is huge and very well furnished. Massive projector screen available. Food was tasty and plentiful. And staff attentive and helpful.

I went to the Hunters Lodge for a Christmas meal with friends on 8/12/2017 and it was an excellent experience. The meal was hot and well cooked and served on a hot plate, nothing was too much trouble for the well trained and polite servers, great music, beautifully decorated table, couldn't fault the experience from start to finish. I had requested melon as a starter instead of the soup and this came very nicely presented with sorbet, a strawberry and fruits of the forest. Well done to all at the Hunters Lodge. Thank you for making our evening so special x

Arranged a funeral reception for the afternoon. Booking process at reception desk was very easy and was provided with a very pleasant room. Good choice of menu's for the catering. On day of event, room was ready in plenty of time and tea's and coffee's were available as we arrived. Food was brought out as soon as everyone had arrived. Food was delicious and well presented. Staff were very discreet and helpful throughout the afternoon. Would not hesitate to use Hunters lodge again.

Took my parents for "Afternoon Tea" pre booked 2 days prior to going. Had a fantastic Afternoon, good atmosphere, comfy with plenty of folk enjoying the service of nice polite staff. Sandwiches & cakes were amazing, along with scones & fresh cream, jam. Can't wait to go back. 😀
