I play on Howarth Oboes, tried other brands and i don’t feel as comfortable as i do on them. The shop is a must visit and is as charming as the staff! Nowhere like it in the world
I took my flute for repair and it was completed very quickly and to a very high standard. The staff are so friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend Danny for flute repairs!
I have over 50 years owned three Howarth oboes. These have all been exceptional and a joy to play: things of beauty. Visiting TW Howarth in Chiltern Street is like a trip to Olivanders Wand shop Harry Potter. My last purchase S50, I was left with three, the Mopane model called out and I am delighted. Service was excellent.
Visited to try out some oboes today, excellent customer service as usual from Howarths and excellent oboes of course!.
Wonderful shop. We were looking for some bassoon advice and accessories. Paul was very helpful to us as we have just been introduced to the bassoon world. They also had basically anything you need for saxophones, oboes, etc. Truly a woodwind specialist ship. Worth the trip.
Just so you know, their testing rooms might be closed earlier than the rest of the store. We dropped in at 4pm on a Saturday, looking to purchase a clarinet mouthpiece after a long day at music school. Even though they close at 4:30, we found out the testing rooms were already locked, and they suggested we come back another day. To top it off, after waiting for the staff to finish a phone call, we were told pretty bluntly that they couldn't help us. Makes you wonder if it's worth going back, especially if you're expecting a bit of customer service. It seems our money might be more appreciated elsewhere.
The place to go for all things Oboe. The best, most expert service imaginable.
Craig did a fantastic job on my P Mauriat alto. Stiffened up and silenced the action. It feels way better than it did new, much more like a new selmer etc. I thoroughly recommend their skill and their musician to musician approach.
Craig in the saxophone department is amazing. Genuinely cares and helped alot when helping me decide about the smartest way to try out different saxophones on a budget. GIVE THIS MAN A RAISE!!!! whatever your paying him double it please...
Excellent store, I needed a case for my alto sax and Ciaran from the store was very helpful and professional, and offered great advice, received the BAM alto case the next day , extremely well packed and all for a very competitive price, This store gets a high recommendation from me, thank you.
