Brilliant museum full of Scottish football history. Well worth having a look round

A first class visitor attraction. Take a trip through the annals of Scottish football history from the late 19th century to the present day. It really does make you appreciate the role Scotland has had in the birth of the ultimate game. Great exhibits, interactive media and very helpful staff on hand to answer any questions. Well worth the £8 for an adult ticket.

Had a really enjoyable afternoon and only wish I had more time. Our tour guide was Jim McKay who was great fun. Thanks to Jim, I can now say that I've actually scored at Hampden (you'll need to do the tour). I can't wait to go back.

The Hampden Experience is a must for any football fan. I took by two boys, 13 and 14 along with my husband, a family ticket was good value at £30. The tour guide, Jim was knowledgeable, entertaining, full of anecdotes, personal stories and kept everyone in the group of about 20 people involved. We went in the changing rooms, walked out into the ground and had plenty of photo opportunities. There was a chance for everyone to score a goal in the warm up area. The museum is full of loads of football history with many items going back to the 1870's where football started to become the game we love today. It includes the Scottish Cup, European Cup and even Ali McCoists Golden Boot. There was a small cafe which did panini, cake and coffee which was friendly and reasonably priced. This was our boys first trip to Scotland - we live in Bristol, and flew in that morning, making Hampden our first stop. We weren't disappointed. 😍
