A great welcome on check in, the warm cookie always appreciated. Rooms was so clean and beautifully decorated. I was also very pleasantly surprised by my personalised message and token for a free drink, great extra touch for Gold Members. The gym is well equipped and nice and quiet when I arrived. Breakfast buffet was very tasty. Very easy to get to from M1, M25 and A1. Brilliant stay, thanks so much.
Staff were really lovely.. Very good atmosphere for half term they are really child friendly. Breakfast was good and free for us. We paid with Hilton points and were upgraded to a king room. Fabulous bed!! Excellent shower.Rooms: 5/5
Arrived on a week day to spend a night for my girlfriend's birthday to visit the Harry Potter studios. There was a party on and unfortunately our room was above it so the music and bass was very loud throughout our room. I asked reception when it finished and they told me 11pm. Past 11 it was still going so we asked to be moved to another room. They said they were fully booked and I asked what time it will actually finish. Turns out it was planned to finish at 1am and people were still arriving for the party when I was in reception at nearly midnight. I don't understand why they would keep guests up that late who are here for business or other early mornings on a week night. They told me there was nothing they could do and wouldn't give me a refund. The most annoying thing is lying to my face the first time I asked just to avoid the issue they knew it would cause. Terrible start to what was supposed to be a nice trip and has absolutely ruined my girlfriend's birthday so far. Judging from other responses on here they seem to just reply with a copy paste generic response. I hope they actually do something about it and offer a refund.
One night for business- first time visit. Great looking room and bathroom. Shower very small but otherwise very good for comfortable stay. Restaurant experience less impressive - a bit like Premier Inn tbh. Staff tried to be helpful but a bit chaotic. Morning buffet standard quality.Rooms: 4/5
Very good food, good services, there is a gas station and food store very close to the location 3min walk. There is a bus station, but there is no Underground or train station. The location is right next to the motorway. The hotel does not have any playground, so it is quite boring for kids. Excelent breakfast buffet! Rooms: Very comfy beds, warm room, no balcony. Nearby activities: A little town, not really much to do... Food & drinks: The hotel has it's own restaurant, but you can find other restaurants as well în Borehamwood.
I had the pleasure of staying over and also having dinner with a couple of clients this week. The service is very attentive and personable, very clean and new hotel facilities throughout with good meeting rooms. I used a small meeting room for the day. Very impressed with the pork chops meal and the srilankan curry, all the food was excellent to be honest, great restaurant ambience, our waiters Charlie and Kerry were fab!. Will be a regular client dinner place for me. Rooms: Bedrooms are new and very comfy, all modern facilities, hotel also has a nice gym Nearby activities: Adventure golf , topgolf Watford, outdoors Paradise wildlife Park, Ware, Hertfordshire Food & drinks: all day menus and starbucks. Dinner menu and food is excellent, great for a client meeting /dinner.
We went with a coach trip to London so felt the hotel's location was too far from theatre and attraction as traffic was very bad. Although the room was good the window didn't close so it was cold and noisy from the traffic. It was reported and staff were very concerned. The food was delicious for dinner and breakfastRooms: 3/5
Warm and friendly welcome as we checked in at 5pm from our long day at the Harry Potter Studio Tour. The room appeared clean, family beds supplied were a little small but no real issue. We headed out for a meal locally. Upon return I found the heating and aircon not working, but it was not too bad and my children were tired. After showering the room got humid; When lifting the blinds in the morning the window was covered in black mold. Spoke to the staff at reception who told me they were having issues with the heating but decided not to mention this as I checked in. Very disappointing for a Hilton hotel.
It's a Hilton and listed as a four star hotel. The quality of my stay didn't live up to either. We stayed in the middle of winter and I still found the room uncomfortably warm, and as others have noted in reviews - some more than 5 months ago, the aircon doesn't work. When I asked staff about it I was told that aircon "wasn't something they offered"- Neither was air extraction in the bathroom which left it unusable after one of my sons had been in there... The rooms and hotel are clean and the staff were great and did try to help, though it should be noted that there are no refrigerators in the rooms which was problematic for us as we have medication that needs to be refrigerated- the hotel couldn't take responsibility for the medication so I ended up having to put it outside on the window ledge. Good job it is winter as I can imagine this hotel being quite inhospitable in summer.
Excellent service throughout our function and customer care! Special mention to Lola and Mohammed who helped at the desk when we had a car problem when we checked out. Lola saved us having jump leads got us on our way safely. Above and beyond helpfulRooms: 5/5
