To say its basic is an understatement.
Parking is extra which I hadn't seen on the site when booking.
There is a bar/cafeteria which is just as basic.
The food wasn't actually that bad. I ordered the suet steak and ale pie with gravy which was nice and rich but definitely warmed up, the gravy was really thick but I quite like that.
My mate ordered a super chicken salad and mentioned something was missing while we ate but I misunderstood and thought he was talking about a dish he'd cooked recently. Turns out more than 4 of the ingredients were missing from the dish. We told the staff and they seemed suspicious (as I wouldtoo because he'd finished by now) but took the plate away and brought back a complimentary drink for him.
They brought the dessert out whilst I was still eating and seemed a little put out when I said I wasn't ready yet as I hadn't finished my main, odd.
The room was basically just a shower/sink/toilet/bed/TV not even a bedside table.
It done the job just don't get your hopes up.
They do have "happy hour" though so all was not lost 😆

Hotel was dirty, the carpets looked as though the had not been vacuumed in a long time. There was also a dog staying in a room on the same floor and it was sick in the hall way on the second floor. This was not cleaned up after 24 hours of the reception being notified and room cleaners going up and down the corridor.
The food was dreadful, the so called cooked breakfast was atrocious, bacon barely cooked, scrambled egg watery and hash browns soggy and falling apart.
The tables were not cleaned after use and there were no napkins available.
The cost of the hotel and the Travelodge name lead me to believe it was worth the 5 hour trip to stay somewhere close to my family. However I would have been better sleeping in a hostel and would have saved myself half the money.
Travelodge will not receive my custom again.
I will be returning to the well maintained IBIS next time.

Had a very nice experience during my short stay. Manager Daniel and all other staff were polite and helpful. Restaurant has good selection of food and 24 hour parking costs only £4.

Room is quite small but adequate. Cooked Breakfast was nice Sunday morning but not so good Monday morning. However choice of food, cooked breakfast, croissants, cereals, juices, selection of hot drinks, yoghurt etc, so can't really complain Stayed 2 nights. Staff are friendly.
