The good part is that this hotel is fairly new, so it is still in a decent state. I have been staying there once a week for the last couple of months as I work at the film studios across the road, so the proximity was convenient. The level of cleanliness is medium, you can tell that's ome ofthe rooms are getting smelly, I reckon it's the smell from the carpets. Sometimes I have had to leave the window opened for a while as it was quite unpleasant.nHowever, I would warn anyone planing tostay at the Travellodge that should any problem arise... their customer support is utterly abysmal. In fact, based on my experience there is none. I have been trying to contact them for 2 weeks, sent 3 messages via their website, tried to call several times.... not a single reply. Their whole customer service is basically designed so that you can't speak to anyone. A brick wall.nI would strongly advise anyone working at the studios to look somewhere else if you needa place. There is a Premier Inn 5 min away, and that is where I'll book my next stays. Sorry Travelodge, definitely not good enough.
I had a really bad experience here. When I arrived to check in, they said I had booked yesterday without even looking at my confirmed booking. When they realized the mistake, they didn't even apologize. Things got worse when they said my wife, my two children, and I couldn't stay in a double room. I was happy to pay extra to upgrade to a family room. First, the staff said I had to pay an extra £20. I had already paid £50.49. The price to book a family room today is £63.99 for the save rate and £73.99 for the flexible rate. After they talked to each other, they demanded I pay an extra £47 for the family room instead of £20, meaning I ended up paying £97 for a hotel room, which is more than the original price. The staff were impolite and didn't listen to customers. I booked a family room but only received one set of towels. After handing over the key card, they didn't tell me which floor my room was on or which way to take the elevator. When I asked questions, they turned their backs on me and insisted I listen to what they had to say. I went so many hotel before, but this is the first time I've felt the bad review . The hotel itself isn't bad, but the attitude and customer service were very impolite and inflexible.
For the cost, it's okay. Nothing grand. Carpark on premises is nice but costs extra. Free WiFi is only for ½ an hour so definitely misleading. You can purchase more time, but frustrating when you've planned on free wifi. Mugs in my room were not clean which was disconcerting. Sink plug did not drain in the bathroom. And bedding had visible stains on the duvet cover.
I stayed for a few days in this hotel and was served by Mario at the bar. Lovely bartender and can pour a great pint Hotel was very clean i will be coming back again
On a visit to London,three family members in a family room,one double & two singles very comfy & room was spotless,offered more towels in reception which we took up.Service was fantastic,from the receptionist on our arrival to the lady behind the bar at night & the breakfast staff could not do enough.Breakfast was really nice & worth the feekids eat for a quid.Parking which i find sometimes when I stay in hotels the fees are glossed over was very reasonable £6 for 24 hours.will most certainly stay again
