Really lovely venue and on the whole good food. I also liked the warm champagne welcome with tasty nibbles. However, at £120 a head for Christmas dinner, there were a few things we found disappointing. We had preordered wine for our meal and had to ask for this 5 times before it was served. The staff didn't even know which wines we had ordered! This also meant we were on our 3rd course by the time it was finally served, with very little apology. Considering the variation of flavours for the 7 courses it would only seem sensible to order both a red and white wine, unfortunately the restaurant didn't appear to foresee this. They only supplied one wine glass, proving awkward when switching wines for courses. As previously mentioned the food was pleasant on the whole, but we did have an issue with the gin sorbet, it was originally served thawed, this was however quickly resolved. I think I would struggle to recommend Homewood Park for Christmas again, it could be a really good experience if they would just polish their attention to detail. It's a real disappointment as previous experiences outside of Christmas have been fantastic.

Lovely Hotel in some fine surroundings. On arrival, front of house just treated us just as another guest, no time given to explaining the surroundings or Hotel plan. The room was lovely, bed too soft for my liking, but sadly the bathroom had pealing wall paper and mould behind the bath tap on the sealant. The spa and facilities were excellent and the restaurant is worth a visit, breakfast was superb as well. For the price we paid I would have expected a better standard in the bedroom, along with, the couldn't be bothered attitude from some staff, this Hotel would have been worthy of 5 🌟.

We stayed here for our mini moon, as we have been here before and loved our previous visit. They left a bottle of Red and a few chocolates for us on arrival. The Spa as expected was clean and calming and although there were no free spa treatments left, we still left the pool area calm and relaxed. The bed was huge and very comfortable, and I read my complimentary paper over a little bit of a small cooked breakfast, but none the less tasty. Overall the staff didn't seem as attentive as our last visit but it was still a good visit.

Stayed here on the 17th Feb 2018 for two nights and I have to say I’ve been extremely disappointed. This is suppose to be a 4 star hotel however I’ve stayed in better 2 and 3 star hotels as a student, 20 years ago. The hotel doesn’t offer any bar service or food service after 10pm, despite it being advertised in the room brochure that food is available 24/7. Furthermore the shower in the room didn’t work as the only setting was hot and you couldn’t turn it down, and the window in the room does not shut. Value for money is very poor , I have stayed in lots of luxury hotels around the country that are 4 and 5 star and for the price we’ve paid to come here I could have stayed in much better hotels. Since making the booking we were called twice to try and sell me upsells for our visit. Furthermore my wife and I booked spa treatment and was told the treatment we wanted was unavailable and was then advised to take more expensive treatment. When we spoke to the therapist they stated we could have had the treatment we wanted, also the spa made a mistake with our booking. They charge a 10% discretionary charge on all drinks, which I find a complete joke. Tips are there if a customer wants to make one and should not be added from the start, I can understand discretionary chargers if you are in a large party but to charge it on everything is not acceptable. Brekfast was £16 and it was very limited. I’m sorry but for the price you pay to stay here I would recommend you stay in a different hotel, we will not be returning as this hotel was more focused on making money than a good customer experience.

Lovely spa hotel with a great restaurant and good service. Attended a wedding here and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Dogs were also welcome in the rooms for the wedding, not sure if they are always allowed in the hotel however.
