A lovely, tranquil setting. Perfect weekend base for Clacton & Walton on the Naze. Lake views are stunning with fishing & walks around the lakes. Showers are very well maintained. Cafe & caravan shop onsite. Great for a browse. Really friendly welcome at reception also.
Lovely and quiet place to stay with ponds and wildlife. There's no club house or pool etc. So children might find it boring unless your going out for day trips. Could do with better lighting, tarmac road as the dust from driving on the pebbles covers everything in a layer of dirt oh and a shop as the nearest decent shops are in clacton a 6 mile drive away. if you just want a few bits there's a small shop in the street but expensive. So bring a supply of basics until you can get to clacton.
This is our second visit; this is an amazing place, Caravan and Motorhome sales. A large camping accessory shop, with everything you need. Also a brilliant cafe, which has a menu to suit everyone at reasonable prices. There are large camping pitches, all with electric hookups, and all the facilities you need. Hot showers, washing-up room, etc. All this is set in one of the most beautiful scenery. There is so much here. Come and visit, the reception staff are really helpful and friendly.
Purchased a grey water tap for my motorhome. Forced to pay delivery but I didn’t mind. The image and description was completely different to the one I received and therefore didn’t fit my caravan! I returned the item after being expected to pay to return it. After asking for a refund the staff were so monosyllabic, rude and out right avoided all of my questions, I was also called a liar! I had to go through Amazon itself to force them to refund me. Not happy at all with the service and I will not visit or buy any products again.
We recently purchased a second hand caravan from Homestead.Their handover process was superb.As new caravaners this was much appreciated. Special thanks to Steve for showing us how everything worked on our new acquisition and to Dawn for helping to set us up for a three night stay at the Homestead Caravan site.We asked lots of daft questions and were always reassured with their feedback.Thanks also to Charlie in the accessory shop for his patience helping us sort out the dozens of purchases required for our new caravan.
Overall very good service except for certain member of the shop staff I am 80 years old and was treated like a juvenile delinquent, a simple question was answered by an ill mannered brusque person. Not very good with customer relationship
Cabin and food nice. Unfortunately visit spoilt by the lady who took our order. She was rude, unfriendly and even 'rolled her eyes' at my friend. However, young chap who brought out meals was lovely.
We went to the winter fair and it was lovely. It was all indoors with stalls, father Christmas and a coffee shop. The stalls were brilliant, some lovely homemade goods. We actually took a walk around the main shop after and were really surprised as to what you can buy. I think there must have been everything you would need for a caravan. Very impressed

This is the first time I have used Homestead Caravans and I have to say I am very pleased with the service I received. I booked my 2018 Swift caravan in to have the Aldi central heating fluid changed. I checked it in on Thursday and collected it todaySaturday 25 Nov. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I will use them again when the service is due.
