A pleasant "back to basics" campsite. Mostly grass pitches. Clean toilets and showers. Easy walk to village with shops and pubs, and ample walking for dogs.

Nice campsite, friendly owners and a very helpful warden. The problem is two, soon to become three, wind turbines, located about 100 feet from where we were pitched. If there is a brisk wind they howl, night and day. No one warned us about this when we booked, although in fairness to you, it may be a very recent problem that you were not aware of. It's a nice site, just hope it's not windy when you stay! Update: There seems to be a misunderstanding regarding the noise I am complaining about. I have no problem with wind-turbines (this was one of the reasons we chose your site). You can barely hear the fans turning, even when you stand underneath yours. The problematic noise comes from one turbine only, (the one furthest from your house). Everytime the whole fan assembly changes direction so it can face the wind head-on, it emits a loud 250hz drone, probably because the turntable the fan assembly sits on needs greasing. This is obviously exacerbated when it is very windy, as it was on our visit. I hope you can use this information to rectify the problem.

A wonderful place to stay. Very friendly owners and was just the type of campsite we could have wished for.
