Lovely caravan park, outrageous prices in the shop but hey, is what it is. Nice location, very quiet. Spotlessly clean caravan, good parking. Here for a long weekend. Cheap and ideal.Rooms: 5/5
Stayed here for a week and it was absolutely lovely. Staff were friendly and attentive. Caravan was exactly as pictured. Swimming facilities were excellent. Evening entertainment for children could have been better, also needs more interaction with all kids. Would highly recommend, make sure you book to include weekend as most attractions only open Saturday and Sunday when not in peak times.
Went there this year - Hideous place. Ferrel kids everywhere, pool you a grand total of 45 mins a day and is basic and nothing like the pictures, everything else closed unless it’s peak summer other than the rip off arcades where you win a few penny sweets for £30 spend - go elsewhere trust me anywhere else in the UK is better than here….
Filthy soft furnishings, bedding disgusting both badly soiled and smelly, had to buy new quilts and pillows not what you need after a 450 mile trip No warden, miserable Sales staff who looked at my wife treating her as an inconvenience to their doing nothing. Did the 10 mph speed limit with a black 4x4 inches of my bumper, buzzed by a kid on a noisy minimoto. Walked through mud to our van after we eventually found it. The van was freezing cold, with no instructions how to operate anything. Rubbish all around the van, no outside light for the dark evenings or trying to open the key safe. Parking a fair distance away to lug all our luggage through the mud Will we be back... not as long as I can breathe
Family weekend trip! Loved the caravan experience, the Caravan was much better than we anticipated. It looked new and fresh. All furniture good quality and clean. Fridge freezer, cooker, microwave, 2 bedrooms additional pullout bed. Loo roll, washing liquid, sponge cloth was provided. Plenty of plates, glasses cutlery. Hot water and central heating was excellent. Surprisingly every time we went to reception we heard guests complaining..but we had a very pleasant stay with our kids. The beach was nearby and nice, kids playground was good, there is an indoor pool- you have to book the session at reception. There are some kids shows for free twice daily. Other paid activities like Go karts- we enjoyed it! We drove there so parked our car easily plenty of parking space and free to use. Feedback: 1. Would be good to have more signs up clearly around the place. 2. Would be good to see security guards around and cameras, and some kind of security like bag check when checking in would just make you feel more safe however we had no issues during our stay. 3. Paved paths leading to the vans would be good for wet weather as grass gets muddy to avoid slips and extremely muddy shoes! Nearby activities: Nice beach short walk away, small shop, launderette, playground, indoor swimming pool, free kids activities daily for young kids, arcade, some paid activities too like Go- karts that was fun! Also wall climbing, arts and crafts, segway and others.. Safety: Would like to have seen more security like guards or cameras but we had no issues
Posting on behalf of my mum. Wouldn’t even give it one star. From the minute they arrived they weren’t happy. Asked for a caravan with decking so the dog could be secure and wasn’t given it. No parking outside caravan so my mum and her partner elderly and disabled had to carry their bags up a long path to their caravan. The staff were very unhelpful. Stains that couldn’t be cleaned off on the toilet seat and the shower leaked all over the floor and out into the hallway. No remote for the tv and not much cooking equipment. Another couple were complaining when my mum went into reception about a loose wire. What a disgrace of a place. my mum has left after being there for a day in tears.
Beware of the fob bridge! It's in the middle of the park and separated the park by 2 halves. We travelled to Clacton for some food and on the return our satnav took us via the bottom of the park instead of the top. We dont know the area so weren't aware that this was the case. This meant that we would have to cross this bridge in the middle of the park that you need a fob for. My sister was renting the caravan for a night and wasn't given a fob or informed of it, so we had to exit the park and travel back through Jaywick and up to the top entrance of the park that took about 15 minutes. However, the caravan was spacious and had a double and 2 twin rooms. The sitting area was ample and had a large dining table and a cute little kitchenette with a fridge, freezer, microwave, oven and hobs. The caravan smelled a little like stale cigarettes, so we brought some fabric refresher spray with us.
Really good value for a short trip with great facilities at the sister park. Our oven did not work but the maintenance came out swiftly. Loved the food at the restaurant and the swimming pool was great too. Beach behind was good too as was quieter
I have been using park holiday UK for past 4 years. Been to Harwich, Carlton mare and few others. But this time I was extremely disappointed with the service I received. I was traveling with my family and few other families. We had 4 caravans. It would be understandable if one caravan had minor issues, but almost all caravans had some issues. When asked for help from caretakers, they simply say they can't do anything. Reception are not helpful either. We travelled with 8 childrens age between 2 and 8 years old and a baby 6 months old. With one caravan suddenly no water supply during night time. How are we able to use the toilets etc. On first night no hot water so couldn't have a shower and most cleaning. Another caravan wasn't clean where a 6 month old baby was. The bedding wasn't cleaned properly and had tissues all over. It was not hygienic as viruses could've spread out. They didn't take COVID safety measures seriously. I feel that this site will be a lot nicer and more comfortable to stay in, if the management and caretaker team changes their understanding of serving guests. Rooms: Room was not clean, so hygiene issue Safety: not safe for children because of no water supply for 1 day. Also another day had no hot water due to not having any gas.
Terrible Reception staff are mostly lovely & tried to help. Caravan smelt of sour milk & the seating area was covered in stains. When asked to be moved, we were told we'd have to wait until the next day & was given some sheets to cover the seats with. Next day, there were no available caravans. They instead sent cleaners in to do a deep clean, carpets, seats & bed was steam cleaned. Made a massive difference just wish it had happened before we got there. Whilst walking around the park, there is an obvious smell of weed around.
