Story

Located close to sunny Clacton, Valley Farm is perfect for a fun-filled holiday. Water babies can make a splash in the heated indoor and outdoor pools and for the sports-mad there's the friendly sports bar or how about a knock about on the all-weather sports court.

If you're feeling peckish there's a scrumptious fish & chip shop and a brand new Boathouse Bar & Restaurant, newly refurbished this year. Then in the evening head for the Showbar for some spectalar live entertainment.

We have visited three times now and it's the first choice when the kids get a choice where to go, every accommodation has been great and when they have been issues the staff are there to sort asap. Pool is fantastic and this visit lifeguard Wendy went beyond the call of duty to help our youngest in the pool. Entertainment always a big draw in the mornings and evenings :)

Not sure where to start really with Valley Farm. Firstly, the terrible service behind the bar... the staff just seem a bit clueless. We ordered some food and they lost our order, 55 minutes later it was delivered and was pretty much cold. The foods are sticky everywhere, and its very dirty. The entertainment is ok but far too loud! We sat right at the very back and could hardly speak to each other. We see several arguments and disputes, Police was called and a few people were arrested in the car park. According to some other residents this is a regular thing with Valley Farm!? The other thing is the arcade and fruit machines. None are serviced and as a result they eat your money or don't work, we tried several and had to get the assistant to sort them out. It wasn't just us but lots of people were using the assistant and complaining. The list could go on and on... the amount of shouting, screaming, arguments that we see over a course of 3 days were incredible. It was really badly run and I simply cannot recommend it to anyone.

The park is very well maintained, the prices are reasonable and there is plenty to do. We had the 2018 ABI Oakley which was fully central heated with double glazing windows so we were very toasty. They even accommodated for a pregnant family member and reserved us a van with two separate toilets. Helpful and approachable staff if I haven't mentioned so already.

Caravan was lovely and spacious for the 7 of us staying in it,could have been cleaner,toilet needed cleaning and pet hair found in bedding. I think if pets are allowed they should have certain caravans they can stay in, Kitchen area lacked basic cooking equipment ie baking trays for the oven! Parking was ok but they really need to put pathways between the caravans as when it rained it was very muddy. Eating out in the restaurant was an experience;hour and 15 minutes we waited for our food,when It came it was cold,needless to say we ate in the caravan after that. Entertainment was good,Saturday night being the best,excellent band,kids loved the amusements,downside most of the change machines didn't work. Most staff were very helpful and you could see how fed up they were with the constant complaints for various things. Had fun with the group of people we were with but wouldn't stay here again.

Stayed here many times. When visiting family we often stay in one of the many caravans on the site. Loads to do for the kids and adults too! you'll not go wrong. Staff are friendly and the park is clean and modern.
