Booked two games for three people on a Saturday night. There was a small wait when we got there for the lane to become free, but we were given an alarm so we could wait in the bar until that time. Bar itself was good with a decent amount of seats and quite a few lagers available. Staff were friendly throughout. The lanes were clean and apart from the ball getting stuck a couple of times it was a flawless experience. Got a few strikes in so that made me happy.
Clean & comfortable lanes. Lovely staff members. Toilets are a bit gross but that’s the guest fault not the business. Food and drinks are over priced but if you can wait until after there’s now a lovely little food hall in the lockmeadow main walkway. Parking is vast and not too expensive.
Had an afternoon here with colleagues as a reward from our boss. A good atmosphere and nice to see families and a kids party. The nachos looked very nice. I had the duck hoisin wrap from the street food outlet down stairs. Friends had the goat curry from the street food place which looked really good. There's a pub and one of the fast food outlets had 2 beer taps. The eating areas were clean but it wasn't busy when I was there.
We had a small kids party here, just the bowling and food downstairs. It was clean, not too busy for a Saturday, booking in was easy. We ordered drinks and snacks from the bar, the lane was clean and games were easy to set up. All the kids really enjoyed it, it was a nice atmosphere. I agree the food is slightly overpriced, but you have food available in the food court downstairs if you wish, and parking wasn't an issue either.
Apart from a nearly hour wait to get our lane, the experience was great! The staff were lovely and helpful all night and even offered a free drink for our wait! Service was quick and overall had a great time!
Not been bowling yet but a good place for a drink before or after a film. Very security conscious there and friendly staff. Only downside is the state of some of the seats, dirty, stained, sticky.
Had a child's birthday party there. The service was nice until when they missed a child meal and claimed that they had served the right plates of food which they hadn't. I was annoyed that they couldn't own up to their error and came around to count the plates on the table whilst one of the kids in the party was left hungry while every other kid ate.
We attended this time just for the arcades which we normally attend after bowling but we was in the area so thought we would spend some coins on the 2pmachines. We would normally go bowling early on a Sunday when it is quiet. We went to arcades during the day on a Saturday and was packed and super loud and chaotic. But we still enjoyed it
Enjoyable 2 games of bowling. Took a while to book in because there only seemed to be one member of staff looking after the bowling and the bar. The lanes were fairly quiet as it was a weekday afternoon and there was less of an atmosphere as the lights were all on and music volume lower.
Organised a staff night out here on 25/03/22 from 7:30pm and wasn't disappointed . I've been to other Hollywood bowl locations around Essex and Kent but I thought for customer service this one excels . Front desk , bar staff and security here are a great bunch , happy to help and very accomodating even for our group of 16. Definitely recommend. Thank you for making a good night a great one!
