The facilities are dated but clean and functional. The air conditioning works great. Breakfast was surprisingly good quality with eggs and sausage that are well cooked where they would be drowned in butter in a US Holiday Inn. I'd definitely stay again.
Rooms are so outdated. I stayed there about 10 yrs ago and the rooms haven’t changed in that time. They are exactly the same. Very poor conditions.nBedside table hanging off the wall. Warm shower. How they can charge me £130 for the stay is unbelievable. And you have to pay for parking. Room 124. Such a scam won’t be staying there again. If there would have been some noticeable improvements I would have maybe had a better review but the hotel hasn’t changed since I last stayed so much that it’s worse. Even the carpets are faded and the same. That place most probably hasn’t had a refurb in 20 yrs. never going back and if ya want to stay somewhere cheaper and better then I would look else where. Such a shame. 1
I loved my stay here! Wasn’t my first time here but it was great as per!! I got a stadium side room so I had such a good view lol would be great to be here when matches are on. But my real highlight and my reason for this review is because of the food.nMy family ordered lunch here on our last day and oh my days this was literally the best, every plate was empty. The burger was so cheesy and smoky and the onion rings were massive and crispy! The sweet potato fries were amazing, steak was cooked to perfection, honestly 10/10 all round it was simply amazing and the gentleman who took our order was so pleasant and kind! Based in London but hopefully one day I can come back to Norwich just for the holiday inn lunch!
The hotel is right next to the football stadium which is great if you are attending a match there but to be avoided if there is a match on and you are not.nThe room was comfortable and well organized. Tasty biscuits and good tea in the room.nThe shower in my room was somewhat damaged though resulting in not a lot of pressure and the water being too hot.nThe breakfast is very good and well worthwhile.nThere is a large Morrison's nearby if you want provisions.nThe location to see the sights of Norwich is not ideal but not too bad. It is over a mile to walk to it.
Rooms nice and clean food lovely. Service, positioning not great with a dog it's a trek to get breakfast and few trips to carry it back. Staff friendly and helpful. Not a lot of nice areas to take your dog for a toilet trip. Parking easy. Aircon not always on in the foyer which was annoying.
