Overnight stay for a 30th birthday party nearby. Staff on duty were welcoming, helpful and courteous throughout the stay. Jack was especially helpful and there at every turn and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was the best. Room was ideal, clean and everything i needed. Breakfast was great choice, freshly cooked and well stocked. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
Very nice, clean, inviting hotel. A warm welcome on arrival and simple check in. The room was clean and fresh. The only downside was the shower water pressure. VERY poor but we managed. The bar has a reasonable selection of drinks and the food menu was pretty good. The pizzas were very nice! Breakfast was very good too. All in all, well worth a stay or two.
I only stayed one night, and only ate breakfast. The rooms were nice and spacious, the bed and pillows were comfortable.nThe shower was a little dated, but still worked and had good pressure.nThere's only one easily visible plug socket in the room, which makes charging various items a little tricky. There are some of the older, large usb sockets around though.nBreakfast was fine, your standard cereals, toast, and they did cook the veggie sausages separately.nI would stay again!
Perfect location for what we had planned, AltonTowers and football at the Bet365. Can't fault the hotel at all. Great staff who couldn't have done any more for you, Jack in particular was extremely helpful. The rooms were totally adequate for what we needed and the breakfast was excellent. We ate in the hotel in the evening and the girls loved it. Next time we're down we'll definitely be staying there. Thanks!
NIGHTMARE BEDUBUGS !nWe booked 15 hotel rooms for a dance event. We discovered bed bugs in our room 9pm and took one down to reception in a glass along with some photos of them crawling in the curtains. We were asked to evacuate the room with two young children and wait in reception.nWe were then informed the hotel was fully booked and there was no spare bedding anywhere in the hotel. We were also told as our booking was made through booking.com they could not offer us a refund to book elsewhere. In a desperate attempt to manage the night after a long day traveling from Scotland to Stoke, we were asked to take some bedding from our second booked room which was booked for our coach driver and were offered a service room.nMy children took the bed while I had to make do with a chair and pillow. I didn’t sleep at all after finding the bed bugs anyway.nTwo weeks have passed since our stay, and despite repeated follow-ups, the hotel has yet to process our refund due to staff negligence in handling the paperwork with booking.comnAbsolutely no service and total lack of accountability. The hotel failed to provide basic accommodation and their post-stay refund procedure has been delayed , rude and dismissive. Reception staff don’t care at all , we havnt even had a simple sorry. I spoke to a manager called Laura who acted as if she didn’t have time to deal with my refund , irritated and didn’t offer a single solution other than she’ll look into it. No customer service offered whatsoever.nOur first room was crawling with bedbugs and our second was asked to share one bedding set between 4 people ! Do not stay here. ! I am still trying to get a refund today.nnRating: 0/5
