Loving the new lay out, no more stairs for my art stuff
Stopped by to get supplies for decoupage for a crafts group and didn't know where to begin. A lovely member of staff walked me around the whole shop floor offering advice and potential fun materials to use. Couldn't have had a better experience!
Cheap and cheerful. My daughter's favourite place! We brought some doggy bones fabric and some other bits as I wanted to buy to make our doggy somthing. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Thank you guys
After a recent visit to Hobbycraft I was impressed! Felt like their range had tired over the last few years but not now. They have a great choice and range of products including sewing machines and materials. Fantastic will visit again :
I was a bit shocked to find the store 50% reduced in size without stock at first floor right now..Not sure if it's a remodel or a permanent thing. I still managed to get what I wanted, in fact it was easier with stock closer together. But I kind of quite enjoy browsing and the whole atmosphere had changed for the worse. Sad times.
Had few difficulties determining price of certain items. Good range of art supplies and convenient working hours. Friendly staff.
Visited Hobbycraft to look for watercolour paper. There was a wide choice and variety. Big store, I'm sure you could find everything you need for any hobbie. There are also a good choice of other shops in the complex as well as fast food outlets.
Visited Hobbycraft Nottingham today and Hoping the current reshuffle of the store is temporary. The whole upper floor is empty now and screened off and the product range has been redistributed downstairs. Because of the lack of space on the ground level for all the lines that were upstairs ,product lines have been cut so the choice now on many products is limited to make room with different lines combined into one area. Tills have also been moved also and the store does look a a complete shambles with shelving placed close together giving a claustaphobic and chaotic feel to it. It's not pleasant. I hope it isn't permanent and hope it isn't to make room upstairs for workshops that hobby craft run,as it looks to be a marketing disaster.
I needed some oasis for some flower arrangements I was doing. Hobbycraft had the most in stock and had the £4.50 oasis i wanted, so it was a round trip to Lady Bay, miles away from where I live. Anyhow, on entry, the place is so big an assistant pointed me in the right direction. To my surprise, there were different sizes at different prices. But all was a little confusing due to the disarray of the stock on the shelves. I proceeded to pick up what I thought were the £4.50 oasis circles. Then, to my disappointment, the majority of the oasis were actually very badly damaged, which meant rummaging through them all to select the x8 that I needed, which was very difficult due to how badly damaged they were. I managed to salvage 7 as the remainder were not fit for use. So when I paid for them at the till. They came to more than I'd bargained for, a whooping £61 including some switch on candles. I didn't realise I'd picked up the more costlier oasis at £7.99 ea. I was in need, so i purchased them, but i thought never again. This was down to very poor and not clear pricing of the merchandise on the shelves. This place, for me, is highly overpriced in every sense of the word. Think I'll avoid and buy in bulk online next time.
