This quiet field is fully serviced and bounded on all sides with high hedges and borders of tall flora. It is a sun trap. On the outskirts of the town where Robert the Bruce was born it is ideally placed to give access to the romantic ruins that abound in the surrounding area.
Lovely little sheltered campsite for the night. Electric hook ups, water and disposal points. Real nice helpful gentleman who owns it. Short walk into town for great fish and chips and haggis and chips, shop and dog friendly pub
This is a great little site. No shower or loos, but water and power. Ray greeted us like old friends and was happy to advise about the local area. We felt very welcomed even though it was just a stopover.
Lovely site and lovely owners. Stayed for a week, plenty of places to visit not too far away. Great for walks with the dog. Will definitely stay again when in the area.
Ray and his wife gave us a lovely welcome and it’s a super place to stop on the way up or back from the highlands .
Lovely small site by a town, friendly owners nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely go back if in the area again. Some traffic noise.
A peaceful campsite with lovely owners. The site has 5-6 pitches and is relatively cheap and only a 15min drive from Dumfries. There is a nice wee pub and chippy nearby in Lochmaben itself but please note that there are no toilets/showers at the site; just electric hookup, water pipe and waste disposal. The field is quite dark at night so if you have dogs to walk do it before sundown or take a head torch. The site is easy to find and right next to the main road which is a main route for logging vehicles but to be honest it was quiet enough at night time.
lovely quiet little spot for a short stay, very friendly and helpful reception and only £14 per night including electric hook up. only a 5 minute walk into the village for pubs, food, a corner shop, everything you need even a castle ruin to visit

What a lovely little site, peaceful with very welcoming and friendly owners, nothing being too much trouble. Booked another night for our return trip. Enjoyed an evening meal at the Crown in Lochmaben.
