Brilliant wee site great views and biker friendly
Love it here. Super friendly and chilled. Not many sites like this left. Very reasonable rates and lots of folk to help you out.
Stayed 2 nights here with our tent and asked for an electric hookup, we got shown to a well kept area, very quiet as not many folk realise they can bring a tent here, the cost per tent with electric is crazy.. £17.50 per night or tent only is £10..on entry to the site, we were met with "reception" which is a run down ex military house.. and cars parked outside but after banging on the door for several mins, i had to call the number given, i was told someone will be with me shortly, 20mins later we were greeted by a nice young man who took us to our pitch and took our money up front. It went downhill from there... no hot water in bathroom sinks pump broken no loo roll as the camp kids use it to block the sinks apparently.. showers were awful. the gents bathroom lights were broken and only 1 shower worked out of 4. The social club on site was an old building with a bring your own booze policy.... rowdy wasnt the word for it.. the place is so run down, its a real pity as with just a few repairs it could be so much better.. i may return in a couple of years to see how it looks as the nice young man said hes now there to try to get it up to par.. but its a mammoth task for him alone..
Went here just for 1 night with my husband and a couple of friends. Yes the place may be a bit run down but it is still surrounded by beautiful country side. We went to the club and it is a bring your own booze kinda place and I had one of the best nights out I have had in a long time. Will definitely be going back again, brilliant atmosphere x
Had our caravan for almost a year now, basic basic site, no facilities, but great to get away for a while. Water system not too good, more so if people fill hot tubs etc ! Road to site desperately needs repairing/resurfacing. Great neighbours.
Lovely relaxing place. The only thing no wifi and limited mobile connection. Nice views
We love this place with its older but much loved caravans. The track up is bumpy in places but as long as you drive appropriately then it isn't a problem. High up on the moors yet close to the sea. Lots of room for children to run around. A lot less regimented than most sites. Great mix of ages on site. There are no facilities on site so very peaceful
very quiet and peaceful not your normal noisy park friendly staff cant wait for it to open again after this virus
My son and I spent a wonderful night at Highview, where we found the staff VERY helpful and friendly. We had cycled down from Edinburgh and were delighted to arrive at a campsite, which was friendly, quiet and had fresh running drinking water and clean toilets. The staff were very helpful and accommodating, including opening the shop for us after hours, so we could purchase supplies. It's a beautiful location and has interesting war time structures to explore, as the site was originally an airbase. We will definitely return to Highview in the future. Thanks for everything, great trip!
This caravan park was the only park in the area where you can stay for one night. The park is very rundown but the nature around it is beautiful. Most of the showers are broken but the water is hot. The bathrooms and toilets aren't realy clean. It's a shame because it has real potential but in the state that it is now i wouldn't want to stay there longer than one night, but it was cheap.
