"Berwick Holiday Park in Berwick-upon-Tweed, Northumberland is one of England’s northernmost holiday destinations, not far from the border with Scotland and Hadrian’s Wall. Full of fantastic caravans, some of which are dog-friendly, the park boasts indoor and outdoor swimming pools as well as a whole host of activities for all the family. Brigs of Tweed restaurant serves local specialities and British favourites, Papa John’s satisfies any pizza cravings, and a drink or two can be enjoyed during the stellar shows at the entertainment venue. A short walk takes you into the centre of Berwick-upon-Tweed, and the park sits on clifftops, offering an amazing view of the North Sea as well as direct beach access and stunning coastal walks."

First caravan holiday for 40 years or so. We didn't pay to use any if the facilities, just straightforward self catering. We had a silver caravan with a balcony . We actually managed to sit on the balcony despite the changeable weather. The caravan wasn't the best situated being directly behind the indoor pool , but I wasn't going to pay and extra £50 to pick one. The caravan was spacious with just the two us and reasonably clean and tidy. All the staff we spoke to were really pleasant. Some fantastic caravans on the site, especially on the cliff top . I certainly couldn't afford to own one when you see the annual site fees. About 10 minutes walk to the train station. Probably less to the beach. The excellent Pilot Inn is 3 or 4 minutes walk. We didn't use the supermarket or the restaurant. A pleasant 4 night break.
This isn't the biggest Haven park and might not have all the features and activities that some might have but because of that it ain't overcrowded. in the end it's a great place to stop. Great view over the ocean and you don't have to walk far to get anywhere, including the shops, etc in Berwick itself. Big shout out to the woman looking after the swimming reception think she was a supervisor or something who gave us tips on where to park in Edinburgh - it worked . Also to the security guys on the gate. Always smiling and greeting you with a wave. Restrooms: Clean. Which is all we really care about, to be honest.
Lovely break away, caravan in great location and lovely and clean. Staff are all friendly and approachable. My only criticism is that they can't cater for gluten free/coeliac disease which is vital for my partner. Will be back next year regardless but would be nice if they could adapt menu to cater for dietary requirements. Also a big shout out to the security staff at front of the park
Lovely site with the vans all fairly close to the facilities. The town is about a 10 minute stroll away with an Aldi a little further away, this could be why the site shop is good value unlike more remote Haven sites we have stayed at. The town walls are accessed not far from the site, an excellent walk around the town with fantastic views. Back to the site, we only went in the bar once, price of a pint not too bad £4.49 for a Carlsberg. Site was clean and all the staff very friendly. One we'd go back to.
Excellent value for money and fantastic location near a train station in a beautiful historic town. Ace pool for the kids and adults. Perfect beach 10min walk away. Really helpful security staff/estates team. Hoping Haven can up their recycling game next time and introduce a donations box @ the supermarket/reception to limit wasted goods? Also found the laundry service quite expensive.... 4.9/5
Just home from a weekend at haven berwick, having read some of the reviews I was a bit concerned about what our caravan would be like, as we'd booked the most basic level of van, but I was pleasantly surprised, it was fab. It was spacious, clean and easy to check into. The site was lovely, very well maintained, although the people leaving their dog mess without picking it up should be ashamed, there was so much. I don't blame the park for this, just the irresponsible owners The food and drink options are expensive, but not overly so, and we factored this into our break, it's not something we were bothered about. The park is well equipped, seemed like plenty for kids, the 2 bands on at the weekend were really good, and the bingo was really popular. Very close to the town of Berwick and a short walk to the beach. Importantly for us, the park is disabled friendly, there's nothing stopping people with mobility issues from using all the facilities. We'll be back!
Definitely worth a visit. We had a little problem with our caravan on arrival, but the reception was so understanding and helpful, we were in a different upgraded caravan in no time. A cracking park, which we will happily recommend and visit again in the near future
Shocking, cold, dirty caravan no help and opened a complaint and was told it was my fault for booking a savers when I've never booked one. No one has called me only email to say next time I go they will help me pick one. I won't be back. My bed wasn't made for me, I complained and got handed the bedding to put on maself.
The park is absolutely run down, caravan was dirty and hadn’t been cleaned properly. Food in restaurant wasn’t great at all. £5.28 for a fresh orange and lemonade, says it all really. Swimming pool was grubby and stunk of pee, the slide was apparently broken so no use of that. I don’t expect a reply or anything from this review. Buts it’s an absolute honest review, don’t waste your money and book elsewhere.
We have been coming here for years. We are always allocated caravans close to the main facilities, although we always want a nice quiet area. The first few years were fantastic, but progressively got worse. We use Haven and Parkdean regularly, and although we love Berwick, we find this site the worst. Sorry but this will be our last stay.
