Lovely Pub, the food is freshly prepared and very tasty. The prices are very reasonable. The staff is super friendly. Thumbs up!
Only leaving 1 star due to the location and views! If I could leave 0 I would. the worst campsite we’ve ever stayed on, firstly when we arrived they were emptying the sewage into the grass from the toilets, the smell from this was unbearable and absolutely crazy to me that they’d do this at peak customer checking in time. 4 toilets and 2 showers between hundreds of caravans and tents, worse toilets portaloos than any festival I’ve been to. There was a mop in the shower that looked 10 years old and the bottom of it was black and mouldy. This place has never seen an ounce of bleach. Rubbish everywhere, bins over flowing, only good thing about this place is the 20 min walk to Whitby. Got in a local taxi and he even said ‘is that the rough one’ !! £54 for 3 nights NO ELECTRIC don’t know how they dare. Avoid this place at all costs
We have been coming here for years. The views are just breathtaking. The site fees are very reasonable and I cannot give enough praise to Derek and his staff for their friendly and helpful ways. This is our go to happy place and we will never stop coming here. Whitby and Sandsend easily accessible too. This is a working farm so don't expect clubhouse or amusements. We never want to leave.
We have just left this site for the first time on bank holiday monday after a two night stay , when we arrived we were welcomed by a loverly lady called Gene who could not help us enough a mother lady came along and watched us on our pitch made sure our van was level and brought us timber to put our caravan feet on , I also spoke and met Dereck
extremely welcoming campsite Derek was very helpful as were the staff, lovely site fantastic position .highly recommended would go there again thank you DEerek
Lovely site with good views and well located. It's a farm so there's machinary about . Only gave it a 4 as the toilet facilities were poor but new ones are a work in progress
Fantastic site, so friendly and welcoming . They can’t do enough for you. We have three little dogs who have had a fabulous time. Great views, great walks so relaxing. We will definitely be returning!!!
Had a lovely stay at High Straggleton Farm in our caravan, many thanks to the owner Derek who came out to greet us and tow our caravan to the pitch we were allocated, what a lovely holiday we had and we look forward to many more visits to this lovely campsite ... thank you Mr & Mrs Holliday
Best camping site I've been to everyone is kind and friendly and there's a local bus the x4a that takes u in to whitby
Fantastic views from the caravan. Great location for the beach short walk down the field & over the road. This farm campsite is cheap & cheerful don't expect anything else for your money it's a kind of place that reminds you of take me as I am. Lovely people who own it also pizza van on site & there is no time restrictions in place either so u can pack up at your own leisurely pace.
