What a beautiful place best site we've ever visited. So peaceful so clean and well kept. Large level and well spaced out pitches. Great showers and clean bathrooms. Amazing dog run a really large grass area with long grasses all around my dog loved it. The wooded area was wonderful well kept paths lots of different tracks covers a huge area. Lots of wildlife deer's hare's squirrel's and birds. So close to Whitby bay too either drive or bus which is a great day out. Will definitely be making another booking soon.
Not sure where to start but in brief this has to be one of our favourite campsites that we have ever been to and that’s plenty of them. The location and setting is absolutely beautiful, nestled in the woods. The campsite was extremely quiet too. Toilets were clean and spotless every day nice and modern, tiled Lisa and Kieran? were very welcoming, provided a pack on arrival with local information, walks and take you to your pitch wish more campsites were like this Not the cheapest at £34 a night but in my opinion it’s worth it! Next time we are back we will stay here the entire duration of our trip and revolve our stay around this beautiful campsite. All the best, Luke and Jen
Good quite site, staff very helpful, good location for North Yorkshire Moor Railway, easy access for park & ride into Whitby, would go back again.
Highly recommend these lodges. We travelled with a 3 month old, travel cot was supplied. Very clean accommodation and set in quiet surroundings. Provided us with tea, coffee and other condiments which was a nice touch. Free WiFi. 15 minute drive to Whitby.
4 night stay in mid November. Well kept site, generous size pitch, facilities were spotless. Shower pressure dreadful took ages for hot water to come through to the sink and showers were more of a sprinkle. Disappointing for a 5 site. Bins scarce. Great location, lovely walking and cycling. Sort the showers and I’ll be back
A lovely stay surrounded by nature. Forests of wildlife and large trees, that cast a cooling shade on hot summer days. A brilliant experience.
Fantastic caravan campsite. Once you check in you are taken to your pitch by warden. Fully serviced pitch well maintained. Spacious campsite with woodlands and lake. Close to Whitby 12 min by car. We will go back again
Beautiful caravan site set amongst trees. Covid compliant. Lovely staff. A lot of seasonal pitches, so not all occupied at any one time. 25 minutes walk into Egton where there are 2 pubs. Whitby close, and beautiful Yorkshire coastal villages.
From arriving on site you are welcomed with the most helpful and friendly of receptions we have experienced in years of caravanning.The pitch was an immaculate and spacious perfectly flat hardstanding superpitch. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the toilets are 1st class for cleanliness and being modern. We are very happy that we chose to stay here and will definitely be back.
Beautiful place. Great for relaxing. Quiet site due to not having a club house. They have a few items for sale in the office/shop, milk, tins, etc. As the name suggests it is set in a wooded area with wonderful walks and views. Easy access to Whitby and Sandsend by car. Love the place. Suggestion for owners......... Get a Thetford Cleaning Machine for the cleaning of toilet cassettes, they may be expensive to purchase but we think you will make your money back and then some, if you charged about £2.00 to £2.50 for each empty, deodorised clean and chems in. So much more hygienic.
