Platform 1. Cafe opening times displayed as closing at 4.30pm. 2pm, door locked, told by staff member to go to platform 2. No working toilets.
Good facilities. Stairways on modern footbridge. Lift access to bridge. There is entrances either side ticket gates. Large Pumpkin coffee shop either side of the station with a wide range of magazines.nThe bike racks are generous and are actually on platform 1 so in a pretty safe place. Excellent lighting and good cctv. Staff seem friendly enough.
What an awful experience at Havant Train station today. I knew the lifts were out of order but it was suggested that I spoke to a member of staff regarding changing platforms with a heavy suitcase. The 2 male members of staff I spoke to weren’t helpful at all stating injuries so they couldn’t help and pointing to a bridge in the far distance, in fact one found it funny and the other claiming to be the only one on duty. I struggled but eventually managed to get across, took me 10-15 mins. God help anybody who’s disabled who is changing platforms at this station!!!!! Avoid!!!
The station itself is alright with a variety of services across the coast by SWR and Southern. The station is not incredibly modern, but is fit for purpose and does the job. Has step free access, lifts to the bridge to cross platforms & has bike storage on the platform.nnMy only grievance was when I attempted to get onto the platform for my train, my ticket required reviewing for a railcard. As the station appears to be unstaffed, someone over a screen spoke to me, however seemed incredibly disinterested in assisting me.nnOverall, it’s an ok station which is more than capable for getting you anywhere you need to go.
It has a decent size car park on its north side, frequent train services to London Waterloo and London Victoria, plus to the various villages, towns and cities on the English south coast. There's a cafe selling food and hot drinks and it has a waiting room. At the time of writing this review Feb 2023 there are station staff to help you if required.
