Such lovely and knowledgeable staff, nothing is too much trouble. Food is more pricey, but there are some great choices that you can’t get elsewhere, particularly in the vegetarian and vegan own brand range. As another reviewer mentioned, prices are not too bad If you choose wisely.
This is a great supermarket – it deserves to be much more popular. It is the perfect size, not too large, really clean and airy, well lit and well stocked. The staff are very friendly and efficient. People moan about the price of Waitrose groceries, but you get what you pay for here – if you want cheap and questionable food, this isn't for you. If you want great choice, quality and value, this is your place.
One of the best local grocery store....they also have a pharmacist at the back of the store. Quality very good can be a bit dearer at times but standard and quality wins. Staff always friendly and helpful. Small cafe with savoury and sweet foods, also soup and toasted sandwiches. yummy
The quality is outstanding, the shop is clean and pleasant to use. The staff are exceptionally helpful and welcoming. The cafe was a lovely social space. My friends and I are heartbroken that it is closing.
Lovely clean store and well stocked. Some things a little more expensive but several special offers on items that I purchased. Staff were generally helpful and friendly.plenty of parking which is free if you shop
Generally a lovely store, pleasant experience, great staff, toilets are inadequate and often poorly serviced. Big problem with begging outside, big issue seller bleating away constantly is annoying too but there is often a guy different one today sat with a pot for money & he was so busy chatting on his mobile phone how does he afford that? that he completely failed to acknowledge when a woman put some money in the pot, as she walked away he peered into the pot looked unimpressed and carried on chatting. I thought begging was illegal, why do we have to deal with that when we go to spend our hard earned cash, it's not right Waitrose need to address this.
I don't normally shop here but was in the area and needed a couple of items. I found the items I required more expensive than my normal shop but was impressed with the quality. Staff were pleasant and helpful.
Only pop in occasionally - and if you're shopping the store is fine and the staff helpful. However if you're going to have a coffee or eat in the Cafe, I'd say don't bother. In recent times the selection of both snacks and cakes has been very limited. I usually go in with my daughter and her 2 little ones and they choose a children's meal deal bag, if it's lunch time, although there's often not a lot of choice, and not all the drinks displayed are included in the deal - so there's always a discussion at the checkout and it makes you feel that you're inconveniencing them! Yesterday we popped in at around 10.50, not really lunchtime and chose a small bottle of water for my grandson 18mths. At the checkout we were told it's only really available in the lunch meal deal for children - it was bit early for lunch! But the woman serving said she'd sell it to us anyway - for 50p, which is fine, but if she was going to do that why bother telling us? Making it seem a real inconvenience for her! The coffee was awful and the slice of Victoria Sandwich I had was soggy. Probably won't be going there again due to all of the above.
I have been using the dry cleaning service for about 4 to 5 weeks and find it really poor. I have just collected my last batch of 5 shirts and they are dreadful. One of them looks like it has not been ironed at all and is scrunched up. Only the top button is done up which means the rest of the shirt has not kept its shape and must have got squashed in transit. The store has also lost the bag a Paul Smith tote bag that I handed them in with. When I asked about this I was promised a call but never got one. I have got another 5 shirts currently handed in for dry cleaning but wonder what they will come back like. I have tried calling the store but a message says no one can answer and the lines goes dead. This is really poor and I wish to have a refund.
Many choices, but bit pricey. There's an intimate coffee shop inside, and it's very clean, many choices for pastry. Customer service if good. Outside the supermarket are shops where you can some stuff and money goes to charity.
