One of the few places open on a Sunday in the Isles. Booked in for an evening meal, which proved necessary; it was full. Food was good with a varied menu, and the service was friendly and efficient. Good range of drinks in the bar - beers and whiskies. Probably a good place to stay too. Car park across the road. Very handy for the Tarbert ferry terminal and an easy walk into town. Good base for mountain walks in the area. Also close to a garage selling fuel in working hours and a couple of miles from another with a 24/7 credit card pump. Walking distance from a tweed shop or two and also a newish whisky distillery about to release its first whisky in the not too distant future; in the meantime they make and sell gin.
A really nice experience here. Our double room isn't the biggest but good enough. Staff are friendly and efficient. The breakfast is excellent with a wide choice. Really enjoyed the dinners too.Rooms: 4/5
Fabulous meal, in delightfully traditional, cosy dining room. Service was top notch. Bar is well stocked, surprisingly 3 rums to chose from one local and beautiful local beer on tap.Service: 5/5
STayed at the Harris Hotel for a week in November and it is such a cosy and friendly place. There were always vegetarian options for dinner and I would come back for the 5-bean-chilli immediately! The lounge is perfect for a stormy day to watch the rain cosy from the inside. My room was on the smaller side but with lots of storage, a desk to get some work done and a very comfy bed - everything one might need including a kettle. Everyone at the hotel was so friendly and lovely, it felt like visiting friends.
Very comfortable hotel. We loved our room, comfy bed. Lovely lounges. Friendly staff. Drying room for our wet kit. Good restaurant with attentive, efficient staff. Rooms: Clean and comfortable Food & drinks: Not too much choice if you're a gluten free vegetarian
Amazing experience. Great, friendly, helpful staff and the food was particularly good this summerRooms: 5/5
Excellent dinner and great room with separate bedroom and lounge areas. Good breakfast but watch the veggie one that you get all the items on the menu. Helpful and friendly staff. Free ATM in car park in town, bank doesn't seem to have oneRooms: 5/5
We booked in here for dinner on a Sunday. Not much is open on Lewis and Harris on Sunday, so make sure you book in advance. I had a burger and my wife had the seafood linguini - both were very good!
Live on island. Friends always commented on food/service as being good. Took family and friends for meal would not recommend as overpriced. Needed magnifying glass to find ingredients on plate. No wine list offered even though drinks ordered something you expect. Wonder if it was thought we were holidaymakers.Service: 3/5
Amazing pizza that was probably the best vegetarian pizza I’ve ever had. And a really kind and lovely man behind the bar. Great service and very friendly.
