This is a great hotel to visit. Probably the best on the western isles. It may need a lick of paint. Have visited many times and was never disappointed with either the room or service. Food is excellent. Both breakfast and evening meal were fabulous.

Friendly staff and clean comfy room. Room was a bit dated but other than that it's a nice hotel. Food was decent as well for the price.

STILL DATED BUT THEY ARE MAKING IMPROVEMENTS ALL THE TIME. FOOD WAS BETTER THAN LAST VISIT.

Rarely post reviews and usually to flag up good things worth sharing This though is more a public warning sevice to unsuspecting visitors. I didn't stay here as last time was very dreary but I did eat in bar as nothing else open. Food arrived almost before I'd sat down and very hot but very limp, courtesy microwave I would say. Hake looked pre-formed variety. Tip is to not leave your mobile on table too long as you may need to crowbar it off with knife from the sticky surface which never seen a clean cloth in many a day. So dismal that if stuck for eating place you be better popping into Co-op store nearby and get some fresh bread and cheeses or flaky salmon and oatcakes and nice bottle of wine.

Room ok for 1 night. Bathroom damp. Not a good view out of window. SEPA should see this!
