Bought a seat Leon couple months ago. Assumed as it was from a dealer it would have had an MOT on it for at least 6 months, actually needed an MOT 1 month after buying it and a major service 2 months after buying it. What dealer sells cars without a fresh MOT or service these days???
Not great. Visited and purchased a car circa 10k Arrived 2 days later as it went through an MOT to drive literally 5 yards and the EML came on. Not sure how a car passes an MOT with an EML on...... Was then told to come back in an hour or so and they'll have sorted it.... Phoned about an hour later to be told that it required an oil pressure sensor that would be fitted straight away so they would deliver the vehicle to us later that day. This is because they knew it was important we had it by the weekend as originally stated. We then had to call them at half 4 in the afternoon to be told they can't get the part why they couldn't tell me that rather than wait for me to call I don't know So they couldn't deliver the car until the following week. As such we refunded the vehicle V5 still came through to me so had to return that to them too at my expense and we visited and purchased a car from Car Shop in Ipswich. It was valeted, filled with fuel and driven away within an hour of us deciding! - Brilliant I'm sure Hammonds CAN be great, as the prices seem good but this experience wasn't good at all.
Told there were no issues on MOT but wasn't given the document when I collected car, downloaded a copy at home to find 4 advisories, plus engine warning light came on within 3 days, not a great experience and they don't seem to answer emails!
I had a fantastic buying experience with Hammond's, putting a deposit down on my i3 was very easy over the phone and they were always available if I had any questions. Came to pay off the rest and drive home 2 days later and it was cleaned and prepared so was no more than 30 minutes and I was on my way home! Absolutely no pressure at all for any extras like warranty, but nice to have the option available if the car was a little older. Really happy with the deal and Marc's service, would not hesitate to use again and I'd recommend to anybody. Thank you!
Been to buy my car on finance, got served by Bobby he was really helpful and really good in obviously what I needed to do as it's my first time buying on finance and just passed my test, everyone here are amazing and approchable!!!
Went to look a a Ford kuga , the car was filthy inside , got told it had a good service history only to find out it didn't, opened the bonnet to fund a cap missing and no coolant in the bottle.
Sold our car the Hammond after receiving a valuation a few months ago. When we returned the second valuation offered was slightly lower than the first, but this is of course to be expected given the passage of time and increase in mileage. Happy with the attentive service we were given and ease of the process. Friendly dealership, no messing around, or pushiness which is great. Thanks Tim, you have been great and we will certainly bear Hammond in mind in the future.
Went there after finding a car online I really liked, the staff members were all friendly and helpful. Tim looked after me, I payed the deposit and a few days later it was ready for picking up. The car needed a few bits done but they got it done fast and kept me up to date with the car. I then met Mark which sold me the car fast and simple. Had it a few days now and so far so good . Defo recommended this place as you can buy with confidence
Not worth one star , fraud company do not bother . Reserved a car when reached the business suddenly the price increased by 500£ purely taking advantage of the situation. Unethical company .. don't know how it is AA approved hope it goes bust, don't bother doing business with them NO HONESTY AT ALL AND NO RESPECT , CUNNING AND OPPORTUNISTS
