Clean and no major problems, but out of the way and sitting down for an awkward dinner with no choice, no wine, costing 20 pounds wouldn't be my choice if my tour company hadn't booked it.

Family run quest house very lovely people all though a little abrupt, no choice for dinner get what your giving despite this would definitely return

Conveniently located for Hadrian's Wall activities, this off-the-beaten-track B&B has a lovely setting on a working farm. We had trouble actually getting there, confused by posted route diversions at every approach we took. It would have been nice to have been warned ahead of time, or at least to have had a sign at the actual open route to the B&B. We also were not given a key to our room because a previous guest had apparently checked out with it, forcing us to leave it unlocked over breakfast; fortunately we hadn't planned other outings! We expect, however, that most guests have smoother experiences.
