We are small family run hotel in the heart of Embleton, a picturesque village on the Northumberland Coast.

The Dunstanburgh Castle Hotel is in the heart of Embleton, a picturesque village on the Northumberland coast, set within an an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Big skies and white sandy beaches make this an idyllic place to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life and relax for a few days, a week, or perhaps even longer in this magical kingdom.

Lovely hotel. Comfortable rooms. Great menu with changing specials each day. Dog friendly dining room so you can take your companion down to breakfast and evening meal without leaving them in the car or taking it in turns to eat as a family. Staff really friendly as well. All that and an amazing beach a few minutes stroll away. Highly recommend.

Great little hotel. Beautiful setting, just 10 minutes to the beach and easy driving to other towns and villages. Pleasant quiet room with massive comfy bed. Would have had 5 stars but whilst the food is very good the kitchen seems to struggle when it gets busy. The food is all freshly prepared so a short wait is acceptable but the staff spent a lot of time apologising for the delay in taking orders and food coming out. The staff were all excellent and had good customer service skills which made the wait for food more acceptable. Overall a great stay and would definitely return.

We had a brilliant stay in the hotel rooms. The food was tasty and delicious, amazing price, our room was clean and comforting. It got a little bit hot in the middle of the night but after opening a window it was fine. Staff were very accommodating and helpful. Will return to Dunstanburgh Castle Hotel if we are in Embleton. Phil F.

Great food. Friendly service. We stayed in one of their cottages across the street and throughly enjoyed our stay. Good vegetarian options on the menu.

Just returned from a 3 night stay in this hotel. Marvellous time. I'm a two dog owner and found the facilities for dogs to be welcoming in the very well and tastefully furnished lounge where they could stay with you for a meal (a refreshing and welcome change) Food was excellent and service unusually good. (Can't fault) Thank you for your welcome and making my 70th birthday birthday memorable and VERY enjoyable. Can highly recommend and will return soon.
