Good service at the desk and replacing the car battery. The recommended battery didn’t fit after a lot of trying. Unfortunately the system has the wrong battery type for my car. I had to find the replacement in the online store and then they got it to fit in minutes.
Went to have a dash cam fitted, had to wait over 3 weeks for an appointment. Got there 15 minutes before the time and left them the keys. 20 minutes after they call me to tell me they can't do the job and tell me I should have booked in an hour earlier something that wasn't mentioned at point of service and that they couldn't do the work today. They offered me other days for next month but I shan't return now looking for a professional fitter to fit dash cam. In my opinion Halfords fitting is not fit for purpose and they should not offer this service.
Excellent service and help from a young lady today who sorted me out with a forward facing carpet. She was so patient and explained until I had finally got it and carried it to my car for me. Thank you.
I think Halfords desperately needs to work on their website, and better shop staff training, what an absolutely frustating and almost painful experience. On their website I got list of tyres identified by my vehicle reg and model, found the tyres I wanted went to order a red banner would appear NOT SUITABLE FOR YOUR VEHICLE, I did managed to find tyres suitable but aleast three times I tried to order a set of 4 tyres to be fitted at my workplace only to have the page freeze. I then attempted several times to have them fitted as my local service point in Crewe, got through all the details went to finalise the booking then notice I'd booked for Runcorn, No I booked for Crewe!! I gave up and cancelled!! Clutch set ordering, same thing a list of suitable clutches, click to order NOT SUITABLE, I managed to orderd two different clutch sets from Halfords to be on the safe side. Qne didnt look right for the job when it arrived so the same day I returned it to my local halford in Crewe. I then spent 30 mins whilst they tried to refund me only to be told I would have to return it to Europarts!! apparently I hadn't bought it from Halfords I'd bought it from Euorparts erm erm ye right !! Halfords when you sell an item its your item regardless of where you obtained it. I ended up fuming, I refused to remove my returned item from the Halfords shop counter as it was no longer my responsibility and asked for proof I have left it with them whilst this issue was sorted out and I would be refunded, best that the young chap serving me could offer was a reciept saying I put my bicyle in for repair!! This Morning the chap who had served me the previous evening rang me to say everything had sorted and I would need to return to Halfords with my payment card for a refund. Halfords your Staff dont need people having a verbal with them when they are trying to do their job, even though I apologised several its not right, this should have been a smooth return transaction but due to the lack of staff training it wasnt.

Shop is good definitely recommend it only probably i have had with it was when i need my bike didn’t want anything other than getting the chain sorted told me it would cost £20 one of them called me saying it would cost upwards to £80 I don’t understand how I only need a smaller chain and I they tried scamming me to give them £80 for them to fix that not going back next time I am going to the bike shop near town
The staff doing the work were great - but don't get an e-receipt, never received it, when I asked for a replacement the website Customer Services very unhelpful, try to fob you off or tell you to make a special journey back to the store - useless
Went to purchase a bit for a 4 year old. We took 20 ish minutes deciding only to find out the display models were discontinued. What a waste of time! Why not take down discontinued models from the display??
Had a battery fitted and now I have critical safety issues, a warning message has appeared immediately after fitting saying Restraint system malfunction air bags there were no problems before.
The bike department is a joke! Took my bike for a health check and service, received no communication from them as to any work needed, despite being told they would be in touch to go through any work needed before they proceeded. When I went in store to ask about my bike I was given a list of parts that supposedly needed to be replaced and prices. The work identified seemed to be made up out of thin air and included things like replacing brake pad, despite the pads on having only been replaced a month or so prior. When asked the sales assistant had no clue and give answers to my questions about the work that couldn’t possibly be true.
