The good thing about Halfords is that you can SEE the item before you buy. They're not as cheap as Internet, but you can get the right part, in your hand, half an hour after you want it. Prices for smaller items are not too bad. Staff are pleasant, but no experts in bikes or cars. Easy parking.

Panicked as I was all ready to drive to Paris when I realised I did not have certain important things that needed to be in the car. I rushed down to Halfords and I got everything I needed. The person who helped me knew his job and knew exactly where to find the products I needed. Excellent and courteous service. You will find lots of things you would need for your car.

A warning to shoppers. I received a 'parking fine' for £90 from Euro Car Parks claiming my car had overstayed in this car park. Their allegation was spurious and un-evidenced, their communications personally vindictive. Their claim was thrown out by the British Parking Association when I appealed. Despite being a long-time customer of this branch, Halfords declined to assist me in any way and instead were happy for me to go through a stressful appeals process which, of course, I won. Neither I nor anyone close to me will ever shop at any branch of Halfords again - actual or online.

BEWARE THE CARPARK! 1 HOUR MAX. They now use invisible number plate recorders. Even if you are a paying customer, take longer than an hour in the two stores it's a £90 fine through the post.
