WOULDN’T EVEN GIVE ONE STAR!!!nAVOID THIS PLACE!!nREAD FULL & SAVE YOUR LIFE!!!nnJOB NO. A141/9021020nnI booked my car at this Halfords Uxbridge centre for brake check for 08/02/2024. I dropped the car and was told by centre manager MOURAD that he will give me a call shortly to le time know what the issue is. I came back home and waited for the call for nearly 3 hours. I then called myself and was told the technician is just checking and Mr MOURAD said he will call me back in half an hour. Again I didn’t receive the call as promised but received the call after more than an hour and was told that front brake pads and discs need changing. He told me to get the pricey PAGID brake pads and discs which I agreed. I paid £350.76 for this. I was told I will get a call when the car is ready to be collected. I waited till 16:00 and yet not received any call so called myself and was told that my car is ready to be collected. I reached the centre by 16:30 and car was still not ready. Mr Mourad made me wait for another 35 minutes saying the technician is just washing his hand and will bring the car out. He made silly excuses one after another. I finally took the car after 17:00. At this point, neither manager MOURAD nor technician RYAN mentioned any issues to me at all.nI had my car’s MOT booked for 12/03/2024 at the different place. While I was waiting at centre, within 10 minutes of starting MOT, the technician came to me asking where’s the bolt from the front left tyre. I said I have no idea. The technician then showed me my car’s genuine locking wheel key which had the bolt stuck inside hence missing from the tyre and also damaging the genuine locking wheel key. Technician asked me if I got some work done so I told him I got the front brake pads and discs changed a month ago. In a nutshell, Halfords Uxbridge staff left my car’s front left tyre without a bolt and also damaged car’s genuine locking wheel key. This not only resulted in my car FAILING the MOT, but also put my LIFE IN DANGER for over a month without even me knowing about it.nI immediately contacted Halfords Uxbridge centre and I was told to bring the car and they will fix it. They knew what they did and without any proof from my end, they asked me to bring the car in. I asked for a mobile number from Mourad so I could send the evidence. He gave me the number and I sent him the photos of tyre with missing bolt and damaged locking wheel key. He replied that bring the car around 14:00 and he will fix it straight away.nnI took the car and confronted Mourad as I couldn’t believe how easily they DELIBERATELY put my LIFE in DANGER and didn’t even have the basic decency to tell me what had the done. They must have thought it’s a woman and she won’t know any better.nnI had been driving the car with a tyre that wasn’t even fully secured for over a month! God knows what would've resulted had the tyre come off!!nnMr Mourad apologised saying “I can only apologise. I didn’t know how this happened”.nThis was the only response I got from him.nnI have lodged a detailed complaint with documented evidences, on 24/03/2024 with HALFORDS and HAVE NOT heard from HALFORDS yet. This explains Halfords as a crap company overall. I have read customers’ bad reviews here and can see a standard copy paste response from Halfords Uxbridge.nnI would strongly advise everyone especially FEMALE drivers to NEVER TRUST Halfords for anything. They will put your LIFE in DANGER without any SHAME and HESITATION. They have ZERO WORK ETHICS and clearly don't know what they are doing and don't care about the LIFE and SAFETY of their customers!! I am absolutely DISGUSTED by these findings! Legal advice is currently being sought.
Dropped in for an air con diagnostics, which they couldn’t fix but were very helpful and explained what the issue was and referred me to dealership. What was disappointing though is that this morning I noticed some change had been taken from inside the car. No more than a fiver, but not the point really - would expect people to be honest and not help themselves. I knew how much was in there as I debated taking it out, but figured no one would pinch a few quid. Will not be going back & advise anyone to remove money/valuables from car in case they go missing.
What's the point of booking an appointment then to be told you will have to leave the car for 3 hours to fit two tyres. Then to be told refunds will take 10 working days. Not very helpfully.
One star is to much for this place. Waste of time and money will never return. Booked in for mot and service they cancel the day before on the mot as a machine had broken but as I used holiday up to take the car in asked that the service still be done, sorry had to plead for them to still do it. Second appointment made for mot where it failed, told temp fix could be made and re tested next day. Called end of the day it had failed again and was told vehicle would need to be towed off premises if fixed elsewhere. After alot of time wasted calling different people the car collected, issue fixed elsewhere and returned for re test...guess what!? A different machine had broken that they needed to re test and the part wouldn't be available until next week! Didn't know whether to laugh or cry so took the car along to another garage who passed it straight away. Thanks for nothing Halfords autocentre. While there witnessed customers complaining of parts been put in wrong places and a guy that seemed to struggle with what day it was or who and what car he was dealing with, called one guy to fix a problem that was fixed last week. Good luck if you go here that is all I can say!
Done service and MOT last week. Lack of organise...Slow counter...Manage to spend 45 mins to get my car back and found engineering cover missing. Ask the staff and said is not there and not do anything. Integrity is in question.nThe MOT was failed and they cannot repair the said they don't have access to the parts but quote in the invoice the repair cost. Possible incompetence of the garage. Previous booked for air condition re guess but was told no gas available on the date . Personally, not confident with this brand and not going to book with this brand any more.
