I had my MOT done at Halfords Autocentre Watford and can’t speak highly enough of the team there! As a female in her 20’s who knows literally nothing about cars, I’m always nervous taking it in for a test but Richard and the team were so friendly and welcoming. The MOT was super quick and thankfully had no issues, they also helped me sign up for the Members Club, overall a really good experience, I would recommend!

I took my car for a Major Service and MOT. The guys were so helpful and helped me choose the best and most economic parts I needed to get my car back into top performance. They also gave me tips on how to maximise and keep my car in good condition for a longer time. I  definitely recommend this garage to everyone

Took our car to this supposedly professional garage. Professional couldn't be further from what these people really are. We were quoted £900 to investigate a supposedly leaking cylinder head gasket and IF it needed a new gasket it would cost a further £1500. These so called mechanics must be on extremely low wages and encouraged to find faults that DON'T EXIST. It actually turned out to be a faulty thermostat. Very dishonest people.Service:&nbsp;Engine repair

MOT good experience, people were friendly, polite, efficient, and helpful. Happy because I was expecting my twenty year old Honda to fail, but it passed for another year on the road.

Really excellent and speedy service.  The MOT booking was with the premium membership scheme.  Worked very well and excellent value.

AVOID AVOID AVOID - tried to charge me over £270 for a part that costs £25, told me you can only get the parts from the manufacturer and thats why so expensive, turned out you can get from anywhere and even direct from manufacturer they was so much cheaper - told me to collect my car, got there and had to wait 2 hours! Also a lot more but dont have time to write, AVOID AVOID AVOIDService:&nbsp;General repairs &amp; maintenance

Not happy with DPF cleaning service which was mentioned online versus the version received from Auto centre. Didn’t don’t Auto centres competent and knowledgeable enough.

Staff I dealt with were great, promptly picked and delivered my car. However, I paid in excess of £250 for an interim service and they did not even clean my car.  When asked they said they stopped it due to covid ?????? They can come in person to pick and deliver my car but can’t clean it due to covid ‍‍.  Not sure for how long these companies will keep taking advantage of covid and fool their customers. Won’t be using them again.Service:&nbsp;General repairs &amp; maintenance

I do not recommend coming here at all! I have a private mechanic but as he mobile he is unable to MOT cars so I decided to use Halfords for my MOT. Had a full service and pre MOT check on the Monday and then have my MOT on the Wednesday. My car had a couple of issues that were fixed by my mechanic on Monday. I dropped my car off at Halfords Monday morning and was called around 45 minutes later saying it had failed one of the things being the wipers, which was odd as I had them changed on the Monday with my service, when I said this they seemed very aggravated and became rather aggressive down the phone saying “you have paid us to look at your car and this is what I’m telling you” and asking “do you want us to fix it or not”. This is my first ever experience with getting an MOT I still have a P plate so you would expect someone to have a bit more patience with me as I’m not sure how things work? But to become so horrible to me when I said I was confused about the wipers was completely out of line. I went to my mechanic to have the major issue fixed and he said it was the most pointless job he’s ever done as he checked it on the Monday and it was completely fine. They also stated a obstruction was removed which was actually a air freshener hanging on my rear view mirror, with is where everyone I know places them. Also found the my dash cam had been completely reset? All the footage had been deleted and the time and date had rest? If they would have asked I would have just placed it out of the way.  I attempted to complain to them directly but have been ignored. So please be warned to not go here and to find a more honest and polite garage to take your car.
