I will start with saying a lot of these negative reviews could not be further from my experience. Couldn't get my car started, after failing to jump it I called my insurance who use these guys as contractors for breakdown. From placing the call to getting someone out was less than an hour (this is inside the M25 near busy junctions and roads) from their Watford branch. Communication was great all along and I received a courtesy call when they were 10 mins away. The call out technician was a very friendly and knowledgeable man called Thomas. After trying numerous things the car was unfortunately not to be saved there and then. He arranged to tow me to a place of my choice and once there loaded all my baggage into his car and took me home. All in all a great service. Thank you Kartec and Thomas, very happy top use again.

These guys were hired as an external company via my bank breakdown cover. What an absolute joke! One guy came out within 45minutes - looked at the car for less than a minute and decided it couldn’t be fixed at roadside. Fair enough! So went on to order a recovery truck - I was told 45minutes. 90 minutes and no sign of anyone so I contact my bank cover team again. Apparently no truck had been requested by the original mechanic and the notes on the system were implying we were making our own arrangement. What an absolute mess. Absolutely fuming! I’m in the process of claiming compensation from my bank for the screw up!

Company was booked through my car insurance (Hastings). Recovery vehicle arrived within 30 minutes and was unable to fix the vehicle, however they took the vehicle back to their base as the Garage I wanted it sent to was not open. The following day they took the vehicle to the garage. Driver was very helpful and polite, very happy with the service provided.

My breakdown cover sent a van from Kartec with trailer for my motorcycle. No attempt to repair, but they transported me to a local garage which I had found while waiting. Friendly service.

Was overcharged and misinformed. When the driver turned up was with me for 5 minuets only to say that I will have to get a different company to tow me left stranded. I feel absolutely ripped of and was quite stressed with a lack of helpfulness or understanding.
