Basic, but very affordable and very good value for money. Not centrally located to the Wakefield town centre, but a taxi is only £5. The highlight of our stay and main reason we will book again is the staff!! Sarah.W's customer care was worthy of a five star establishment, above and beyond. Taxis booked, restaurants reserved and recommended, lost items found and returned even though they had great financial value. All other members of staff were of the same vein, kind, caring and super considerate! If you want affordable accommodation surrounded by helpful and above and beyond staff, it's a really safe bet!!!
Staff all great and helpful.nRooms terrible, mouldy ceilings and doors, shower taps falling off the wall. Terrible light shades yellow dirty and awfulnBooked 2 rooms for. Family party locally, shame about the full coaches of blokes drinking and fighting and causing mayhem all night long, still drinking at 8/9am this morning on route for breakfast! Dirty yellow stained bedding g thrown off the balconies over night! Takeaway boxes and cans just chucked all over. No sleep as they never slept all night.nBargain at £42 but only for one night couldn’t handle anymore.
I loved this place, it was well kept and the staff were extremely friendly. I also love the fact that all the rooms had external doors, so there were no long corridors to walk down. You could sit just outside your room and enjoy a cuppa.
Location is fine for those working and moving around locally. Service ok with bar etc and food … room was like all the others but with a leaking toilet or water seeping up through the bathroom floor tiles and even making the carpet wet and damp - room 18 - as soon as one entered it smelt like xxxx and windows were open… maybe close the room and fix it and not make someone sleep in that - told someone at reception and it was just shrugs and says I’ll get maintenance to look at it - great …
Arrived and I thought I was on a set for bates motelnNever stayed in a motel type before but had the perfect night's sleep, clean rooms although they seriously need updating.nReception staff lovely. Bar nice and busy reception area all in all if stay again..nAmazi g price for what we paid
