Spoke to a salesman in the week, who was very helpful. So I took a 35 minute drive to the showroom and asked to test drive a vehicle. Sadly, I was advised that as the showroom was closing at 4 it was not possible, as they were preparing to close. I wouldn't have minded but it was 3.05! Decision made and off to another brand and another dealer. Ben, the sales manager, subsequently called me to apologise for the experience at the garage yesterday and made excellent efforts to retrieve the situation. It seems post sales may be better than the Sunday experience. Many thanks for your call Ben.

Despite years of relatively good service and being perfectly happy with her well-serviced 2009 Mazda 3, my elderly mother was press-ganged into exchanging it for a newer model by Charles for a small fortune after having been repeatedly contacted by him. She was not informed about other less-expensive options and was put in a position where she felt she could not say no. To add insult to injury, in the end regarding the one factor that she had cited as being important from her side i.e. that she be designated on the form as the first owner of the vehicle, they even managed to get her details wrong! Charles indicated that he would make it good, but failed to follow up with any gesture of good will, or any response whatsoever for that matter...

You have to say as you find and the experience here was first class. I am quite surprised to see a number of negative reviews, but, as said, say as you find. We bought a second hand Mazda 3 Sport from the team here, dealt with Charles, as this was a really easy and pleasant experience from start to finish. Although the car was less than £4k we were made to feel like it was a £40k car. My wife and son collected the car, having had the full checks and Mazda accredited warranty done, and we are very happy with the outcome, having looked for several weeks for a certain model. I also spoke to other members of the team by phone and had no issues with any aspect of this. My son has a big smile and an excellent run to work car, so that will do for me.

Oh dear what a shame, all I wanted to do is test drive a CX5 and potentially buy, but their Salesman Charles couldn't connect with me, the whole set up for selling cars is wrong there, people buy from people and a good salesman should adapt his style accordingly but alas not Charles...i walked out...i had a far better reception from the local Peugeot dealer with whom I could relate straight away.....i have spent over 30 years in sales and marketing and in my opinion Charles should find another vocation.
