Beautiful pub. Only stopped in for a drink but will be back for their grub. Ideal date spot
Nice wine list and super cosy & cute! Didn’t try the food but looked nice
Great experience!! Delicious food and great service. Highlight of the meal was being served Old Wallop in a pewter tankard
Bar staff friendly and efficient and had a nice evening until 8.45pm. No problem with being asked to drink up before closing, however it was before 9pm so earlier than average and therefore took us by surprise. Nevertheless we were happily finishing our drinks as quickly as we could when a certain member of staff was downright pushy. Unnecessary. RUDE. Will take our custom somewhere else next time…
Excellent beer and wine and pleasant traditional interior. Didn't have food but it looked good.
Great tasting Claret and Tapas. Friendly staff would highly recommend.
Loved this old time pub. Remember when it was a old working man pub and now it's a lovely place to go to.
Really cool oldy worldy venue, & probably the only place in east London not blasting music so loud you can’t hold a conversation. Unfortunately the charm of the place is completely ruined by the Italian manager. When we arrived, he was sat near the bar, FaceTiming at full volume no headphones. Seemed completely oblivious to the fact he was shouting in an otherwise silent room. Really intrusive to the atmosphere. This ended after about 10 minutes. He then walked over to our table and silently placed a reserved sign on it. No eye contact, no greeting, no asking how we’re doing. Just placed it down and walked off. Bizarre and awkward. No effort being made by him or anyone else to clear empty glasses off the table. We moved 6 or so empty glasses from our table so we could sit at it, and watched another couple so the same with empty glasses on another. Manager needs to have a bit of an ego check, and realise he’s there to do a job and not just sit on a stool behind the bar.
Lovely little bar with a wide range of great wines. Really enjoy spending a night chatting with my friends here. We ordered two bottles of red wine from the "lighter and fruity" list and they were so nice.
A regular pub with no differentiation, food is so so, service is OK location is good. Nothing more.
