Hotel was really nice, will be beautiful when upgrades are finished. Me and my son had a great fun time at our Twixmas break. Food was really good and staff were so welcoming and helpful. The Christmas dinner on the last night was a nice surprise, Christmas food was great, and the extras, the party hats and crackers, made it good fun. The complimentary box of fudge and shortbread in the room were a really nice touch too.
Stayed 5 days on a coach trip with a friend. Suited us to the ground as we wanted a quiet break. The staff was excellent , very helpful, courteous and friendly. Though the buffet was basic we had what we wanted everyday and more. Compliments to Michael the chef for the food and the lady who greeted us everyday when we dine. Both were so kind and engaging ..the hotel was spotless we got a free upgrade to a premier room. We had sea facing views and a mini seating area where we snacked and watched tv. I don’t know how how to feel about this hotel. Me and my family stayed here for a Christmas break. Me my mum and my sister and grandpa.We checked in and staff were nice! So far so good. The lounge area was lovley. As soon as we got in the lift it smelled a strong smell of cigarettes/ smoke. We opend the door to our rooms. Oh no….. it was dull and gave off very creepy vibes. I felt homesick and uncomfortable. It was way too warm in the room and there was a heavy aroma in the hotel. Dust or something. My grandpa and sister both asthmatic were struggling and had to take their inhalers. I even had a heavy chest and feeling itchy. It’s only the first night and we are thinking of going home tomorrow. Let’s hope we can get a refund and maybe find a better hotel….
Well went last week for the Tom Jones and Frankie Valli tribute weekend. 1.nEntertainmentnWhat a show. We were a group of four ladies. We had a great time.nn2.Entertainment room temperature First night Friday downstairs room for entertainment was absolutely freezing cold. Everyone had to go and put coats on. Rectified next night after lots of complaints.nn3. StaffnSecond night one man on the Bar down in entertainment room omg did he have attitude. How he's got a job there is questionable. Staff in the rest of hotel really nice.nn4.RoomnFine, cleannn5. Parking is an issue and if disabled and can't walk easy, make sure your in disabled bay. You will get a ticket if not!.nn6. FoodnBreakfast good choice and do vegan too. Evening meal choices listed. Couldn't eat the meals either night. Spaghetti not drained so not only over cooked but soggy vile, watery. Second night MINTED pork chops. Tough, vile tasting. Apple sauce would have been a better CHOICE we had no choice.nSoup was loverly potato and leek.
Stayed at Grand Hotel Llandudno and it was an absolute nightmare. The room was nothing like the photos on Booking.com is completely different,m!!! old, and run-down. Most of the guests were elderly, and the facilities were very poor.nWe had booked two rooms for our family and tried to cancel one via Booking.com knowing there would be a fee. The hotel staff then forced us to leave immediately, claiming it was Booking.com’s policy, which we never agreed to. They demanded we pack within ten minutes and even knocked on the door to rush us.nAlthough we cancelled one room, leaving one remaining, our whole family decided to leave both rooms and drive six hours straight home. Absolutely shocking and unacceptable experience. DO NOT STAY THERE!!!
