Visited just for the short weekend break. The hotel is very old fashioned but kept very clean. If you want to have a sea view you need to pay an extra tenner and upgrade to premier. Otherwise you'll end up like us overlooking at someone elses room. The major problem was the heating constantly on! It was absolutely boiling!!! Couldn't turn it off.I felt like I've spent a night on a desert but major thing there was a constant smell of sewage in the room. Overall we've survived but won't be going again for sure. Also decided not to eat anything in there as other guests warned us not to as it wasn't good at all.

Old and tired. Probably better finding a smaller ran B&B in the town centre. Clean enough. Breakfast finishes at 9 which is earlier than most of the competing/alternative guest houses. It is in definite need of a massive revamp but the rooms were clean and the receptionist was friendly and helpful.

Breakfast lovely. Buffet style. Beds hard as anything I found it difficult to sleep but that's just preference on bed style. Very dated

Went for a rock n roll and had a very enjoyable stay. Was on the 5th floor with fantastic sea views. Unfortunately no heating in the bathroom and after complaining had weak heat from the radiator in the bedroom for the last day of our 4 day stay. This was the weekend before the beast from the east hit the UK. Not put off as already booked for next year. Good choice of food both at breakfast and evening meal.

Great location and amazing views from the sea view rooms. Hotel is a bit tired and worn in parts but rooms very clean and comfortable. Bargain break. Staff all friendly. Accept it for what it is and you can't go wrong. Worth a visit.
