Just returned from a 3 night stay as car was getting some work done at EST Performance down the road. Absolutely lovely. Lodge was extremely clean and modern. Couldn’t fault it. All cooking & facilities provided for a perfect stay. They even let us check out late free of charge. The only downfall would be the decking area, it would really benefit from being fenced off due to the open field and other lodges. We struggled to let our dog outside without a lead. Thanks again for a lovely stay.
Just returned from a 3 night break, I have come here a few times and its always been a pleasant visit. This time we tried the pet friendly cabin with our 10 year old dog, lovely touches to find a dog bed & bowls already in the cabin. The only downfall would be the decking area, it would really benefit from being fenced off due to the open field. We couldn't let our dog out with us when were enjoying the lovely hot tub. Other than this, a lovely stay! Clean cabin, very quiet. Will definitely return. Thankyou
Great lodges. Very nicely decorated, lots of space. Well equipped. Clean, tidy, safe. The hot tub option is really satisfying. Zero negatives, only positive experiences
We booked a lodge a year ahead of time of time as it was for our daughters wedding 5 minutes from golden cross. It point of booking and no point in the year where we told they would demand £150 holding deposit 4 days before checking in. When we walked in the lodge we found that all the flooring was dipping and bowing and some points felt like your foot was going to go though at any point. They was noone on site you could talk to so phoned to be told someone would be round to look. The next morning a cleaner came to look and take photos and we heard nothing more. No let's move you some where safe so can fix it no just OK let me take photo. Over the 6 days we where there it was just endless list of broken paving fencing flooring and stress with only cleaners on site to talk to. We went for a stress free time to enjoy before the big day and we got the total opposite. All golden cross wants is your money no care for your safety
Booked it because it was supposed to be dog friendly but not the case all open outside if you are in the hot tub she has to locked up inside when we Booked dog friendly we expected it to mean not just inside but outside alsoRooms: 3/5
Didn't have high expectations as could see this was a very small park near a main road, but actually was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the caravan we rented which was very well equipped and clean. We rented one of the larger caravans and it was perfect for our family of three. Hot tub was frustrating as was just too warm at just over 40' and no controls to turn it down a fraction. Even asked the guy who cleans them and he wasn't allowed to adjust them. Just couldn't stay in it for too long and ended up sitting on edge with ljust legs in the water. Location is very handy for Eastbourne area, and it's a perfect base if you want to spend time out exploring during the day. The park isn't scenic and you can hear the cars on it.
We came to visit my daughter Who is at uni in eastbourne. Perfect location for us. Its a beautiful lodge, clean, well kept. Hot tub was lovely although a tiny bit hot for my 13yr old. We were at the back of the site, so we heard no noise from the road. As long as you either want to do nothing or you have plans everyday this site will be perfect as there is literally only the lodges and reception. Very friendly helpful staff. Perfect stay. Thank-you.
Quite nice. They have hot tubs and comfy beds. It is just off of a busy maim road but from my experience I couldn't hear much if at all. The one we stayed in had afew problems with the tap and shower and boiler but got sorted as much as possible I would recommend staying here but if you have kids I wouldn't stay longRooms: 4/5
Absolutely amazing place to stay, loved every single minute of it. Had to ask for the hot tub to be turned down ever so slightly, they sent someone the next day with no hassle. Very peaceful, never hear anything from neighbours, only a little road noise every now and then. Location is spot on, easy route no matter where you go. Wifi can be a little slow but barely on phone so doesnt massively matter. Overall would highly recommend, this was our 2nd time coming here and we fall in love with it everytime, perfect for couples or families.
We had a great time staying in the Honeymoon cottage. It was nicely furnished, very clean and the hot tub was perfect. Please take the following comments as constructive criticism and not a complaint by any means. The double glazed doors that lead into the decking need adjusting, they were very difficult to open and close. The gate to the decking would benefit from a simple lock to avoid people entering the area whilst you're in the hot tub. It takes away from the feeling of the enclosed privacy when anybody can enter at any time. The small fence to the right of the cottage has a direct line of sight from the pubs upper room windows straight onto the hot tub which takes away much of the privacy also. The upper portion of the bamboo type fencing should be replaced with a type that is not able to be seen through. These little changes to the decking area and fencing would make this little cottage perfect! Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again :
