Best Chinese food in Chinatown. I’m in London every October and always make a point of coming here. Dim Sum is the best! One of the few restaurants open late night after the theater. Late night you need to pay after ordering and trust me I’d rather do that than go home hungry. I’ve. Ever had a bad meal here. It’s usually busy but so worth the wait.
Deeply disappointed, we ordered the set meal for 2, we had to pay for the food before receiving it, which included a service charge, for service we hadn't yet had! We always tip well for good service but this was taking away that decision of tipping for good service it was just under £9 service charge! The tables are so close together that the lady sitting down at the table beside us hit me with her hanbag when sitting down. The starters were served as the same time the duck was put on the table as we sat outside this went cold really quickly. The pancakes were rubbery and hard to part, the duck was cold as we were eating our starter, the duck really should have come after the starter so it was warm as many other restaurants we have eaten in serve after the starter. Before we had eaten the starter / duck we had the mains put on our table, so again this was going cold straight away. You feel rushed to eat fast for a quicker table turnover. The table was on the slant and felt awkward to sit at as u felt the slant on the table n chair. All in all we spent just under £80 left most of the food as it was cold too quick n we was rushed. We would never go here again extremely dissapointed. Food was wasted as we do not enjoy a rushed cold meal, but they encourage you to be outside n the option to sit inside was not offered.
Got the dim-sums, crispy duck, vegetarian spring rolls, crispy beef. My fav was the crispy duck and the spring rolls, even though I was really looking forward to the dim-sum and crispy beef. The dim-sum came without sauce and was a bit dry, and the crispy beef wasn’t really great. The atmosphere was mainly nice due to the live music in the background.
After a leisurely stroll in Chinatown, I decided to grab lunch at this spot, and I'm so glad I did. The satays, dumplings, and fried rice were absolute standouts of the meal. Each dish was bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience that I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for delicious food in the area.
Visited this place by suggestion, but our Sunday lunchtime DimSum experience we got was not as good as we expected. No queue when we arrived—unusually relaxed atmosphere for a Chinese restaurant. We sat, ordered and didn't feel rushed to eat and leave. The food we ordered was quite normal. The highlight was the mixture of roast pork and duck. BTW, my point was the price, as we paid 89 GBP for 5 items of Dimsum and 1 Roasted Duck+BBQ pork and 1 vegetable dish No next time at all.
Wanted to eat Chinese food after so much walking and we went to Chinatown in London. Found this place and we got seated outside. Quite busy restaurant. Food was alright except the service, I’m not pleased. But I’m sure the restaurant is always busy.Food: 4/5
Old dim sum establishment, very fast service. We love the variety here, our last visit was 3 years ago and the quality is still good.Food: 4/5
we ordered 3 boiled rice but got 1 boiled and 1 other, then we don't get our 3 rice. the chicken was gelatinous and chewy. the rice was hard. didn't get a knife to cut the chicken. stressed staff who can't speak proper English. you pay before you get the food and they want a tip before you have eaten had to ask 3 times to get a receipt
Nice Chinese restaurant on a busy pedestrian street full of people. The porched fish in the Szechuan Sauce was spicy but amazing. The service was quick and smiling. Recommended..!
We had a big lunch and had a phletora of delicacies that was all astounding. My favourite was all the seafood dishes and the duck.Food: 5/5
