Was passing by this place while in Chinatown and decided to try. We hour sweet and sour chicken, beef vermicelli, peeking duck for 2, and pork dumplings. Everything was delicious, the duck could have been thicker and juicer otherwise was great. Towards the end when bill came, the hostess try and trick you by not showing the whole receipt to get more tip than what they already take and we fell for it. So make sure you check receipt before paying!
To be honest, it wasn’t very delicious. We ordered the fried noodle as well thinking it would be crunchy but it came dripping in sauce. There was another patron in the restaurant who complained to staff about the noodles being “saturated” in sauce. I didn’t get the impression they cared, so I didn’t bring it up either. The dim sum is fine. They didn’t have many congee options. Only two. They add a 12.5% service charge to the final bill. They do accept American Express so that could explain the extra 2.5% as most restaurants at least some of the ones we’ve been to add 10%. Would I come here again? I don’t know. Maybe. I might try another restaurant first.
Overall the experience was good, thanks to the food. Was great, and the portions were huge. We tried lots of things dim sum, seafood, chicken, lobster, chicken rice, duck and everything was delicious. The restaurant was crowded and the only thing that bothered me was the table position: one of five people kicked my chair entering in the restaurant. :
We were a table of 10 with kids. Staff were nice and food was great and hot. Only let down was with a dairy allergy only fried rice and noodles were avaliable, all other dim sums we had ordered for the table was a no go which was a shame.Food: 5/5
The food was OK, but extremely overpriced as usual. The Crispy Pork Belly was extremely dry, the only thing I would rate is the Special Fried Rice and the Aromatic Duck. The service was incredibly poor, before we could finish our drinks, the staff replaced the tablecloth while we had our drinks on the table and ushered us out to pay the bill.
First evening and my cousin recommended me this place. It was truly good food. I thought portions were a tad too small for the price but this probably is in London as everything is big in Texas. However, all said and done the food was amazing. Not in the picture is the sampler of roast pork, roast duck and BBQ pork. That was amazing!!
Food was really nice specially the dim sum platter and the beef curry. The staff and service wasn’t nice but the food made up for it. Tables are too close by and make us pay before eating
Absolutely disgusting place, woman waiter she was so rude ordered pancakes set with duck and in the bottom of pancakes found long hair told her nicely that it’s hair inside and she said “ and so what do you want me to do you ate already@ she said. You guys need to understand it’s not about money it’s about food safety if u are coming somewhere and found hair that’s a worst thing ever. And that woman with her answer abd attitude she was next level!!!
Appalling lunch. Typical tourist trap. Service was slow and staff were rude. The only thing that arrived fast was the bill which we were asked to pay before receiving the food. Which is somewhat understandable, but not for the service charge. Very expensive too. £11.95 for deep friend squid and only got 8 small pieces. We have had much better service and food from Plum Valley for the same price.
Good Chinese restaurant in Chinatown..the dim sum was very good, you should try the turnip cake with Oxo sauce. We spend in 2 ,60 pound with 6 dishes.. Good quality and good price.
